Try the Bitar sandwich! Great neighborhood spot, I eat here at least weekly. They have a well curated grocery selection too.
BEST Mediterranean place in Philly! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is absolutely wonderful and sweet. The rice combo with chicken is a daily order for me. Everything on their menu is mouthwatering. The price is very fair for the high quality food you receive. Do NOT sleep on this deliciousness
Bitars is the freaking BOMB. Literally the best food in the east passyunk area, it has been a once or twice a week lunch for me going on 3+ years now. Rice combo with chicken-FIRE, along with all of their sammys/wraps, the wilson sandwich for you falafel lovers out there and my go to middle eastern gyro. French Fry medley with chicken? Fogetttaaaabouttttit. The whole menu is amazing. #BITARS4LIFE PS Please make some merch cause people would buy it!
The people working here are very nice and helpful, and I was able to find phyllo dough at their store. Not easy to find elsewhere! Please support this small business.
I always wanted to try this place because of the reviews. We ordered chicken kebab and falafel combo. The chicken was very dry and lacks flavor. We were both missing the pita so not sure how we are supposed to eat the hummus. Rice on the combo was hard. This is the first time and I am very disappointed. We can’t even finish the food. Not sure what is going on since the the other reviews are different…anyone else experienced this?
My reviews are based on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.Where 1 star = tragic and 5 star = OwwwwwwPoppingHere you can grab food to go, sit and eat in the low key communal dining table, alone, with your child, or a friend for a quick self service bite. Their pastries are amazing!! Came here for a falafel sandwich and got a pistachio baklava as well, very happy I did. Want to come back and try some of their other dishes, chicken was recommended and the hummus looked good.
Ordered take out from here tonightWe ordered the Greek gyro salad, falafel, grape leaves, a bitzza and a kofta platter. Every single thing was delicious, and this place immediately has become one of my top 5 places to order from in the city. Friendly staff and savory baklava. 10/10 would recommend cant wait to try the rest of the menu!
Delicious food and quick service! Two of us shared the grilled chicken platter and 4 falafel, and we couldn't finish it all. They also stock Lebanese food products which look very good.
I’m a falafel enthusiast so I’ve been trying all the cities falafel and this may not have been #1 on my list thus far it still deserves 5 stars. I live in south philly so it’s convenient for me. If you detract a star because of parking only, you’re an idiot. They can’t help the parking situation.
