Usually, everything is great. Today… not so much. Came right before 2pm to get the blackend chicken Alfredo. Which I did get, because that’s what I always get. Today despite it looking DRY on the line, it was fine because I always get extra sauce and cheese. Today they said they only do that when it’s not busy (which makes no sense). Despite my better judgement , I took it anyway. It was the absolute dryest. I usually go for lunch and recommend it to guests, but nope! Not anymore. If you’re not going to offer extra sauce, perhaps make it with more sauce .
I ordered Sweet Tea, and i took a sip and it tasted like they put pickle juice in it. So i kindly asked the waitress why it tastes like pickle juice and she said “well we have gotten that before.” So i asked if they used pickle containers to make the sweet tea in and she said no. Well, she lied. Heres the guy filling the filthy sweet tea jug scooping it out of a dill pickle container with a pitcher.
How can one give it less than 5 stars?Went there for breakfast on an earlier Sunday and it was already busy. The devil's omelette was awesome and coffee was great! The waiter was quick, knowledgeable and efficient. I wish I could go there every day.
Great selection of your Cajun cuisine in Philadelphia. You can find this place at Terminal Market. Now one would ask, why would I go to Philly and get Cajun food? Truth is I did go get a Philly Cheesesteak for togo; how could I not? Terminal Market place is a HUGE indoor market of restaurants and you take a left or right or go straight ahead and there is a place serving amazing looking food!!! Out of about 15 restaurants I passed by this was the ONLY place where their employee greeted me and talked to me about trying their food out. It was a nice young lady who treated me with that Southern hospitality and I obliged by ordering food from them. Unfortunately, since I had purchased a Philly cheesesteak, I decided to just get a a side order or their I believe it's like a Blackened Ranch Alfredo. They gave a generous amount and helped provide me with a meal and a half during my video gaming adventures. I will definitely be back to this place, when I come back to Philly. Thank you again! Gonna try me some of that alligator sausage stick and maybe Gumbo or Jambalaya! Thanks so much YouTube: jimmypikachuchoi
Stopped here for the food. Very popular, and there is a clear reason. Food is awesome, service is efficient and charming. Great attention to detail even though it was really busy. Had the fried shrimp po boy and a side on Jambalaya. Sorry, but had to have the flavors. Glad to say, Not a disappointment at all!!!
The first time I had Beck's, I loved it. The authentic flavors were in point. So, I tried it again. The gumbo, jambalaya, fried mac n cheese, turtle soup, rice and beans were all delicious. But I ordered the king cake through a delivery service and I was charged $40 for a sparkly, cold, stale, cake. Dry like the desert. No one ate it. That was a complete waste of money, but the food is generally very flavorful. Hopefully Beck's won't sell anymore petrified cakes. I definitely will not order their desserts again.
Servers were so nice & food was amazing, especially the cornbread. Sad that I was just visiting but will make a point to come again if I'm ever back in Philly!
We got the jambalaya to go, and it was very delicious. If you are sensitive to extra salty food, I would say it’s a bit on the salty side. Great flavor with a good ratio of rice to meat/veggies. I would definitely go back to try more of their food.
Best Shrimp and Gumbo in Philly with a pinch of southern flare!
Food was good. Meat portions very small. Waited over 30 minutes for French toast.
