Bassetts was recommended by our big bus tour and we had to try it. The ice cream was delicious, service amazing. Line wasn't too long both times we went. Unique flavors like cinnamon and dark chocolate
I love this place because my grandfather grew up loving to get Bassett’s ice cream whenever he visited Reading Terminal. The ice cream is very creamy and delicious. The peanut butter ripple is my favorite. One of the best ice cream places in Philly.
I was questioning if I wanted to spend $6 on an ice cream cone but I'm so glad I did! The texture is similar to frozen custard, super thick and creamy and not grainy at all. I got the mango ice cream, it was delicious! Only thing that would make it better would be pieces of mango, since it just has the flavor currently. It doesn't taste artificial at all. Highly recommend! :)
4.9/5 best ice cream in Philly, hands down. Better than Franklin's imo. Top 5 best I've had. I had the cookies and cream and strawberry small cup for $6. A bit pricey but worth it. The ice cream was rich and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend it!!
I had a mission to eat ice cream in Philly and was fortunate enough to make a right turn in this food hall and found Bassetts! I won’t lie, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed and was surprised to find that the ice cream not only has amazing flavor but consistency. It wasn’t too sweet either, which I prefer. I can say with all honesty that it’s one of the best pistachio ice cream flavors I’ve ever had! I was left feeling dissatisfied that I hadn’t bothered to order more ice cream haha it was definitely worth the wait and hype!
One scoop just wasn’t enough! We had cookies and cream ($6 one scoop waffle cone in the picture). We were told that salted caramel is the bestseller. Gave us a cone to go with and a cup for my toddler son (nice service!). And the line was not long at all (the one for cheese steak next door was). My rating is based on the service I received in my brief interaction with the cashier. The ice cream was okay to try as part of the whole visitor experience.
Very good! Very busy stand.Ordering is very efficient at one end. You pick your order up at the other end. The gentleman preparing the orders was very speedy, efficient and pleasant at the same time. You could tell that he cared that folks had a pleasant experience and enjoyed their ice cream.The ice cream was rich and creamy. We ordered coffee and the flavor was pronounced and very good.Definitely will return. :)
I feel like this is just a regular ice cream place. There was nothing about it that made it stand out from other ice cream I have tried. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but it was an average good.
Best ice cream! Me and my family loved it.The line is long but moves quickly.Our favorite is the salted caramel pretzel.
It was delicious, the pistachio one! Chocolate flavor was okay. Would definitely go back for more!!
