I'm itching to dine here in person but I'm giving 5 stars purely on our peak pandemic experience alone, where while cooped up in a tiny studio, we often got meal packs from here. The food was delicious, but more importantly the owners were really on the front foot feeding first responders, helping other restaurants and small businesses adapt. Also, the best cooked eggs I've ever had are served here.
Truly the worst bao buns and potstickers I've ever had. 3/4 of our dinner went in the trash. Overpriced and inedible.
Fried fish was dry and had an odd texture and color. Fried chicken was like shoe leather. Mushrooms were a soggy mess. Bao buns were dry and chewy. Potstickers mix was a horrible dense consistency.
Worst bao buns and potstickers I've ever had. $75 of food in the trash. Completely inedible garbage.
What a treat! You can pick up right after their door (or delivery, otherwise they bring it out right to you). Super reasonable and great quality modern Taiwanese. On to the food —The chicken and garlic chives potstickers were delicious (tad too much dough, but great filling flavor). For baos, the roasted pork belly gwa bao was amazing, just be ready to make a mess with the crushed peanut powder on top.For ruen bings (essentially a Taiwanese mini burrito), the shrimp ruen bing was massive and full of flavor.Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
I like their pork buns but the bottom of the bread gets soggy. The shishito peppers and Brussels sprouts were so good!
How about you update your business page to show you’re closed. I came here since it says it’s opened but I soon learned they’re on summer break. Don’t make my mistake
Excellent! Food was delicious - service was wonderful and super friendly. Currently to-go / take out only (simple online order/payment process) but it was a beautiful day so we ate at the tables right outside the restaurant and they were super friendly bringing us waters and our food when it was ready. Highly recommend - even our teenage kids loved it! Front door is facing John F Kennedy Blvd (maps was taking us towards the back for some reason but once we realized it was a JFK address, we found it immediately).
Ordering process was beyond annoying - who wants to give their name and credit info over the phone. Open your restaurant to customers to walk in and pay with credit card in person already. Some restaurants took no Covid precautions (which was bad) but this place took it to the other the extreme and in June 2021 still not letting customers in the restaurant - having to place order online or phone and call when you arrive because their doors are closed. Ridiculous place. Absolutely ridiculous. And the food wasn't that good. Big hassle for nothing.
Super yummy! Tried the fish, chicken, pork belly and mushroom baos and they were all absolutely delish!
