Worst restaurant I have ever been to. We were a table of 5 and waited for 2 hours for our food. I ordered the pork platter with a salad and fries, and was the only one who didn't get my plate. I asked the waitress where my food was, and told her what I ordered. She said "no that's not what you ordered, you got fries and mac and cheese." I was so shocked and decided to not argue so I told her not to worry about it (cause I was so tired and hungry at this point), but when we got the ticket the pork platter actually WAS on our order, and what she claimed I had ordered had been added at the bottom. If you want decent service and to actually get the food you ordered this is not the place to go. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

The food is good, service is better than average, and the prices were also middle of the road. All in all a decent meal at a decent place. If you are in the mood for barbeque and a beer, stop in. If you want really authentic Texan or Appalachian bbq, you are going to have to head into the deep south or root around in some of the more obscure byways of Philadelphia. Baby Blues is a decent option for BBQ.
DIS! GUS! TING!Let me start by saying I ordered baby back ribs and got spare ribs. They claim that the ribs are smoked for eight hours, I can't tell, there was no hint of smoke in the meat. They were burned and dry. The pulled pork was horrible. The cornbread was nice and moist but tasteless. A .39 cent box of Jiffy can go a long way. The baked beans were tolerable.
I had the pleasure of trying this place for the 1st time. The service was great. They treat you like family here. I was even given a couple desserts to take home & no cost. The banana pudding they gave me was absolutely delicious. The food for dinner was very tasty. The city does not have much BBQ available. But I would definitely recommend you try this place for yourself. The chicken was perfectly prepared. The ribs were absolutely delicious as well. The brisket was a lil bit dry but the table was loaded with a variety of sauces to remedy that.
This man would give you the sleeve off his pants. Im not drunk saying that, the guy next to me is. John, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great meal and the service is fantastic all around. The ribs are so tender, the wings and sauces are all banging. Highly recommend this spot. Best BBQ in Philly.
Friendly service and solid BBQ.We went with the 3 meat sampler and it hit the spot (you get 2 sides with that).Well worth checking out if in the area.
When I walked in, I was initially excited. The ambiance was great, and the rolls of paper towels and bottles of barbecue sauces seemed promising. Could this be a true, faithful, legitimate rendition of southern barbecue in the north? No. The meat is a disappointment to the art of barbecue.
Shout out to the owner, the cooking staff, and the hosts. They are very hospitable. The food is amazing! The atmosphere is delightful. Ice really enjoyed everything and I'm not a huge meat eater. I liked the shrimp/cornbread appetizer, the wings, candy bacon, greens... everything was just tasty. Thanks for the catered event. I'll be back in the near future. S/o to Jordan Stew.
