Great neighborhood spot! You should know there seems to be only one server, but she’s lovely and does the job well! The food is always on point. Love the blend of spices and highly recommend the doro wot (spicy simmer chicken legs). Truly a great experience every time and always well priced. Get a full meal and then some for less than you’ll expect!
I don’t know how this restaurant gets the rating it does. The dude there is so rude and unprofessional. There is only one guy, we waited 30 minutes for him to come and take our orders and when he comes he straight Up told us the food is going to take an hour or more. Goodness graciousness! Be humble and know how to communicate with customers. There seems to be a huge personality issue there
Really good Ethiopian food! Worst service imaginable! One waiter for a restaurant of probably about 14 tables. Took us 2 hours to get food, took us an hour to get beer, we never got water refills, and took another 20 minutes to get the check. Would not recommend in person, maybe get takeout, or literally anything else.
My favorite ethiopian in the city. Staff has changed a lot in my time around Philly, but the current bunch do the job just fine. Still great portions and good prices for pick up. Avoid delivery, because of a high markup.
Food was good, the lamb was good and the collard greens were outstanding, although the beef was a little tough. Service was good. It's been so long since I've had Ethiopian food. Even ordered food to bring home ?
Ordered food through GrubHub. Waited over two hours. GrubHub driver had to contact us to ask if we'd gotten our food, because the restaurant claimed it had already been delivered. It hadn't. Called the restaurant (again, after 2+ hours), they said they'd get it ready right away. Got a text shortly after that our order was canceled, plus a text from the GrubHub driver that the restaurant was ignoring her, and only paying attention to orders in the restaurant. So, maybe their food is good, we wouldn't know. Just don't order delivery.
Great food!!! I especially love the kitfo, and all the vegetarian dishes are delicious
All I can say is mmmmh! Delicious food, nice cultural place to eat and drink. Very clean.
This is a small (probably) family-owned business. The food tastes homemade and comforting. If you like Ethiopian cuisine, go for it.However, beware that the service can be slow.In addition, if you believe that the customer is _always_ right and should not be contradicted ... better consider other options. The food is great, though.
The service was a bit dismissive and the place could use an upgrade. However, the food was amazing. Definitely a great hole in the wall
