I have been going to Abner's for over 6 years now and I went a few months ago and the cheese steak was horrible. It was very chewy instead of melt in your mouth steak. The taste was not as fresh. They definitely change the quality of their food. The Manger before had a horrible customer service and the steak was so good back then I still went but now I will not go back!!
Absolutely Disrespectful! I walked in to order and I was met with confusion, My order was 2 Cheesesteaks, And 1 Stromboli, Well the guy never took my order for the Stromboli but he already made it and expected me to take it?? He became very rude and dismissive!! I Will NEVER STEP FOOT IN ABNER'S CHEESESTEAKS
Often overlooked, Abners has great steaks. They have the real Philly thing.
While the cheesesteak was okay (a bit greasy) this place is in need of a serious renovation. It stinks in there. Tables weren't cleaned and there were flies all over our food. Eating in is not recommended.
I've been going to Abners since 1984 and always loved the pizza steaks. Hadn't been there since Covid but finally went back 2 weeks ago. Must be different owners/cooks/management because it was NOT steak. It was ground beef - a poor quality and the sauce was awful. Waffle fries with cheese? No more waffle fries. Cheap frozen steak-cut fries with poor quality cheese sauce. I will not be going there again. And, it was empty. Every single time before, there was a line out the door. Do not bother.
My family loved em! I had a bite of my son's cheesesteak and it was very good. They make Healthy cheesesteaks. My son gf is from Brooklyn and she was raving about this place we rode from Carney's Point New Jersey just for these cheesesteaks!Also very clean and they have an ice machine and they allow public bathroom usage.We will be back again!#order4Nyier
Sorry but just not impressed at all with the cheese steak. Not sure about other food items but your cheese steak need an improvement with the season, the bread needs to be toast better. And for God sake stop making the beef look like ground beef when breaking it down. it's a steak sandwich not a ground beef sandwich.
Best spot for a cheese steak always! Remember to tip the grill person.
OMG, the place isn't impressive at all, looks like an abandoned store front BUT the Philly Cheesesteaks were very fresh, tasty, and satisfying to the pallet. Don't let the drabble look deceive you.
Meat is chopped to fine, looks like ground beef. Pizza sauce on my pizza steak, has no flavor.
