Amazing service!!!First of all, I have to start with how friendly the staff was at the restaurant. They were accommodating 7 of us without reservation on busy Thursday night. They were very attentive and even split the check for us (not just evenly, but actually by what we ordered without us asking for it!)Ok, and food was also delicious. While I do wish they had appetizers, food was actually well portioned to share during the meal. We had oysters which were fresh, burgers were delicious but I recommend it without sauce included.Highly recommend it!!

The drinks and food were great! The beet salad and raw Amberjack apps were delicious, as was the octopus and salt cod gnocchi. Both desserts were excellent as well! Our server even joked that all of our plates were totally cleaned! Everything was so good! If you haven't tried them out you need to make a reservation! You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic imaginative menu. Not a big menu but covers all expectation and prepares each very well. Amazing ingredients and presentation. Excellent wine list. I want to go back and back again to work my way through all the options.

This a small gem in Rittenhouse Square that is a can’t miss visit. Our dinner was a terrific blend of French and American comfort food prepared with precise skill and efficiency even down to the garnishments. The perfect synchronization of the open kitchen is one to behold. Do yourself a big favor and rush in for a treat in fine dining.

The a.kitchen was an excellent restaurant in Rittenhouse area of Philly. The food was super fresh and tasty, the prices, were definitely on the upper end of most diners bracket.

We dined in on a late Monday evening. From the minute you enter the main dining room, you know you’re in for an experience. Our server was very attentive.Gougeres for appetizer was a solid delicious ooey gooey start in winters and set the tone for the rest of the meal.I had the mushroom bolognese, and my friend had steak. We both finished our plates, it was finger licking delicious food.We shared a Tahini chocolate cake for dessert, which was a little unusual.. different than your typical chocolate cake. It wasn’t my favorite, but my friend happily finished it.Overall 9/10 experience.

Nice place for brunch and a quaint atmosphere very clean

We had brunch here for New Years Eve and it was wonderful. The overall atmosphere was casual yet comfortable. We started with the grilled salad which was so flavorful. The chef was able to make a simple butter pasta for our daughter who absolutely loved it! I had the mushroom bolognese with spaghetti, which was perfectly aldente. The fish of the day was flavorful. Make sure to make a reservation because it’s so worth it

Great food and presentation, however definitely over priced (yes, COVID prices are a real thing). To speak specifically to the food —Gougeres - great filling flavor plus nice and crunchyOctopus ‘Lyonnaise’ - good flavors but the texture was a little chewySausage and green - fine? The dish wasn’t overly exciting or interestingBeef tartare - fine, nothing specialPork chop - massive bone-in pork chop, good amount of vegetables, overall solid dishGrilled fish - in an amazing sauce, but very minimal other vegetables/ pieces to the dishWhole fish for two - great flavor, but it’s not deboned so tons of bones to pick through (aka don’t bother)

A.kitchen is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of dining at in Philadelphia! My boyfriend and I have been going out to different restaurants in Philly for 5 yrs now, a.kitchen is definitely one of the most memorable. We sat at the chefs counter which was really cool, we were able to watch the chef and su chef cook all of the meals. The entire restaurant had a warm vibe, and everyone who helped us was really pleasant! Lastly, our food was outstanding, I ordered the short rib and my boyfriend ordered the half chicken. The short rib melts in your mouth and the chicken was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend both meals! Oh…and heavy pours on the wine…yes pls!
