This is a nice bar & environment the staff are so friendly and sweet. The food was great I had 2 shrimp tacos. I had a misunderstanding with another customer and the staff was on top of making sure I was safe and okay they handle the situation very professional

Longest happy hour on the block! 5-7pm with $5 drafts and $5 mixed well drinks with great friendly servers that make you feel like you're at home and not just a $$ figure!

Customer Equality For AllAfter a long day’s work, my co-worker and I decided to go to a nearby restaurant in Center City, 1518. We ordered lunch from here on a few occasions because their shrimp tempura is amaze-balls and they have good portion sizes.Once inside, we placed our order for food and drinks. While we waited, we began socializing with another party of 2 who seemed to match our general vibe. We were all happy the mask mandate in Philly had been lifted; that we survived the pandemic and that things were finally getting back to normal. After about a 1/2 hour or so, we noticed the manager at 1518, Willie, who walked past the other party of 2 and looked myself and co-worker in the eyes and asked us to “tone it down”.Until this point, we did not realize that we were the only Black patrons. We immediately pointed out to him that he walked past the 2 loudest people in the room in order to check our behavior. The party of 2 who matched our vibe were equally offended that he found it necessary to check us.I wanted the world to know that Willie would benefit from taking some Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training. The food is great , but the customer service for People of Color was horrible and I would NOT recommend this establishment to any of my family, friends or coworkers who are marginalized. I would never want anyone to feel like they are being policed while eating and socializing because of the color of their skin.More importantly, as a Black woman, I will never mute myself from the negative experience I received at 1518.

Went here with a friend for Restaurant week. Our reservation was on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. I noticed a few things: The seating is a bit tight with the walking path of people. Our waittress was clearly new and kept forgetting and dropping things. The portions of the steak were great and the dessert - bacalava was delicious. The salad tasted great and fresh. The main course with steak was well done but very dry. I would come by here again not for a main course but maybe something to go like baclava. This is on a very busy street, mostly no parking so I would come back for a quick to-go order but I wouldn't dine here again, unfortunately.

This was our first time here and we loved it! The atmosphere and decor were wonderful and food absolutely delicious! Great service as well!

Spent my last 2 days in this bar while I was in Philly for a Convention. Really good food (I dare say the crab cake is awesome here!), great and attentive bartenders, intimate space, not too loud, and awesome decor. Kind of place you wanna go to because they are always glad you came and they know your name! Overall awesome place to hangout and order a drink or 2, maybe even more! You will feel right at home.

The staff are amazing, the food is amazing, the drinks are amazing. 10/10. Definitely the place to go

Appetizers are fire, no complaints.Drinks kinda sucked in my opinion, everything is flavored with simple syrup or flavored alcohol. Drinks could be far better if they muddled real fruit into drinks and got rid of flavored alcohol. Entre's were really good. Server was a bit awkward and couldn't take us seriously when we respectfully asked for new drinks. My take away from this:Provide staff with better training to deal with conflictKeep the consistency which is current in the kitchen

Ambience was good. Liked the place, but if you are someone who likes mock-tails/cocktails, you better skip this one. Food is no good too. Ordered simple Greek salad and it was bad. The portion size was good. But it was a dull salad, no balance in taste. Even their feta was I think pretty old.Drinks were meh, it tasted more like water and soda than an actually drink.Ambience: 4/5Price: 3/5Taste: 2/5Serving: 4/5Service: 3/5Overall: 3/5

My chicken breast sandwich was delicious. The roll was just soft enough and brushed with olive oil. One of the few Center City restaurants open after 9 pm on the Tuesday my friend and I stopped in for a post-movie bite to eat. Nice atmosphere.
