We had a group of 10 on a Saturday night and had really good service. We had one server and she did a fantastic job. The brewery drinks were good, the cocktails were passable. The food was not great, I had the marinated steak and it was a very cheap cut and mostly fat and gristle. The baked potato seemed like it was straight from the microwave. My wife had the buffalo chicken wrap and that tasted like the chicken was reheated in the microwave. Everyone else seemed to have similar issues with their food. Not enough in my eyes to send back or complain to the staff but enough to be very hesitant about going back.
We ate here twice. I wanted a lamb sandwich which I have had many times over the years. It was good as usual. The second time I had one of the specials which included lamb as well.
We had a horrible experience. Our food was cold and some was missing. We couldn’t get the waitresses attention to help us. 45Minutes later I finally got up and went and got takeout boxes and asked another server to get our waitress. Another half hour went by and when she saw the total look of disgust and packed food on our table, she finally came over. We told her what happened and gotNo apology ….no drink refills, nothing except another takeout box with our missing food ( two sprigs of asparagus, I kid you not. We used to love coming to the Crane Room but as we left, we vowed we would never go back. No excuses for short staff as there were servers standing around the dining room bar socializing the entire time. Really bad experience and a waste of good money
Told that we didn't need reservations (later informed that reservations only for tables of six or more). Arrived but had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though there was plenty of room. We waited an additional 40 minutes before our three hamburger and fries orders came . All the burgers were raw in the middle and non-eatable even though two were supposed to be well-done. The hostess didn't inform us that there was a delay while we waited; and when the dinners arrived, she apologized and said that the cook was new. I suspect the kitchen staff was simply short that evening which is why the dinners were late despite the many unoccupied tables. Within 10 minutes and finding that the meat was under-cooked, we ate some of the greasy fries, paid the bill, and left because we couldn't wait any longer to have the burgers re-done. Came home and ate our dessert there. All in all, a terrible experience.

Delicious food! Onion soup was so yummy. Perfectly packaged for takeout along with great shrimp and chicken entrees. Will be back!
This was my first time at the crane Room Grill and I will surely go again. The fish was excellent and the vegetables were fresh and well-cooked. Our waitress was attentive I need restaurant was clean leaving lots of space between tables in this time of the pandemic. The serving staff all had masks on and we're extremely courteous. The owners of the Crane Room have provided a treasure for the people of New Castle with an excellent place to have a meal. Highly recommend
When you first walk in you wonder at what this beautiful space was in its first life. They transformed this former aluminum plating business into an amazing eatery with its own craft brewed beer to boot. We had salmon and shrimp (two separate entrees) and they were hot, well portioned and savory. The grilled zucchini side was particularly delicious and we finished (but couldnt finish so we brought back with us) with one of the delicious desserts made in house by the manager. We are bringing a party of 7 Saturday. cant wait.
Have been here a few times when out on business and visiting my girlfriend. Always great food and great atmosphere. Everyone that works there is awesome too
Excellent service, fantastic food at reasonable prices, great atmosphere. Perfect venue for banquets, family gatherings and date night.
