Coney island is a classic. There's like 7 things on the menu and you can't go wrong. Hot dogs, burgers, fries, chili, cheese everything. Can't get chilli like this anywhere else!
I remember enjoying Coney Island way back in my youth. The aesthetic is timeless, from the tables to the baskets to the card readers. Honestly, it makes me feel proud to be an American.
If you like thin crispy golden hot fries, treat yourself to Coney Island. They consistency produce this feeling you're having right now. That's why no picture is needed. Also… I ate them too quickly. My order: double chili cheese burger, one with everything and a regular fry. Mixing in a milkshake is always a good choice too.
What an awesome spot that you cannot duplicate anywhere!! Incredible prices and incredible food. Milkshakes and chili are top notch. People travel to get to this place and is ALWAYS Busy!! Highly recommend stopping here anytime you drive by!! Staff is always polite and quick on the service!
When going through or near New Castle, Pa ... We have to stop and have a couple of the M+P Coney Island Chili Cheese dogs... Yummy
This is a nostalgia passed down through generations. My mom grew up in the area, and we end up visiting to drive by her childhood home and stock up on chili at least once a year. Like Heinze is the only true ketchup, New Castle Coney Island chili is the only chili that feels and tastes "right" on a hot dog. Let me tell you, when I lived in Tennessee and I saw they put a tomato-ey chili WITH BEANS IN IT on hot dogs... *shudder*My only nitpick is the floor. I know it's a greasy diner atmosphere, but the floor has clearly not been mopped properly in a long time. It's slippery to the point of being a safety hazard. I sat at a booth at the far end from the kitchen, and even the floor under the table there was slick. I could have reenacted that scene where Tom Cruise slides across the floor in his socks, while wearing my good shoes with the nice tread. A good deck scrubbing is over-due.
Food was really good,and quick service. A couple of the younger girls working there had a bit of an attitude toward a few customers. I feel like the orders should be called by a name instead of yelling out what people ordered ,since it's mostly the same stuff. Just my opinion. Will definitely eat here again
My one addiction in life are these heavenly tasting chili dogs found nowhere else on the planet earth. Please take my money and include a box of fries! Thanks Coney Island for the great food!
I'll start with this - I love a good hot dog. They're increasingly hard to find, so I was beyond excited to stumble upon MP Coney Island. Any restaurant that has been around for close to 100 years is doing something right.They seem to get it all right!Basic no frills dining room that reminds you of a 80's burger joint. They staff was very friendly and informative, as I'd never visited before.I ordered 2 Chicago Dogs and a side of regular fries. The fries were golden and crispy outside, soft inside. The hot dogs were packed with toppings and tasted better than I'd imagined. The hot dogs are in the $2 range, which is incredible with today's pricing!I highly recommend.
The food was exceptional. There was nothing to complain about, everything was cooked correctly, and for a place with out some modern conveniences like most fast-food restaurants, they were very fast and helpful. If you want a decent hot dog and fries, consider Coney Island!
