Today was the first time I tried Carhops in Monroeville, and it was better than I could have expected! I can’t believe I have lived so close and hadn’t tried it sooner. I truly have no complaints at all, from the taste, to the portion sizes, and I can’t leave out how amazing their customer service was. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should treat yourself!!!
I am slightly biased, but i do have to say that Carhops is a family owned and operated business that has been in the Monroeville area for almost two decades. when you are in that area stop in say hello! The food is amazing, the service is friendly, order a corvette my favorite you wont be disappointed.
Gregg and I went to an aquarium place and asked where was a good restaurant and the nice lady said right behind us. Only takes cash but delicious sandwiches Sooo we went- I am so happy I asked her- THe sandwiches are huge- I got a Reuben with one-half- pound pf corned beef on it. Amazing bread- make a bread maker envy- Seriously. My husband ordered the Italian Hoagie and he said it has such a unique flavor- delightful! Then the French Fries - fresh made crisp and ample amount- Take home bags for both of us. THe owner and employees are exceptional. THey are small but mighty. THe decorations on walls and music- I grew up on- PERFECT_ PEACEFUL _ PLACE- with delicious food... A most go to! Thank you Car hop!!!!
My tennis team came in here on our trip to Pittsburgh. The people working were so kind & helpful! My team couldn’t get over how friendly the staff was. The subs were amazing & the 60s vibe was great too. I would highly recommend!
Best Reuben we ever had!!! I got the turkey Reuben and my husband got the regular. They are huge!! We also got the turbo fries which were also amazing. I don’t know what the sauce is on the fries, but it’s like nothing I’ve ever had before. Everything about this place is awesome.. the atmosphere, the service, the food, all 5 stars!! We will definitely be back!!
Absolutely amazing. I was not expecting the flavors to be so bold. This place blew me away, this isn’t one of the best. It’s the absolute best sub I have had. Just be ready a coupe is half a sub and yet is still a footlong!! Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant is a favorite for some of my friends. Today, I got to try it for myself. The food is delicious, and you get a huge portion for your money. The Turbo fries are really really good. The ambiance is super fun. There are a ton of things to look at while you eat. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and laid back. I will absolutely be returning when I am in the area!
Do yourself a favor and go here. Everything is freshly cooked right right in front of you and it's awesome. Great bread and they give you a ton of fries. The turbo sauce is awesome too. You won't be disappointed.
