Had my daughter’s bridal shower at Spasso yesterday. They did a wonderful job. Food was great and so was the service! Everybody enjoyed themselves!
Delicious food, drinks and fantastic Waiter. We were lucky enough to have a patio table ..
The food is OK. The service is poor at best. I have been there a couple of times, and always got a complimentary bread with pickled vegetables prior to the meal. This time, I did not, and inquired about it. The server said that this service was not available today (?). Meanwhile, everybody around me had it. The server also did not check on me during the meal, and when I inquired about the bread she was visibly annoyed and said she is already doing a job for two people and she is basically too busy to care.
Excellent seafood! & staff (Zach)
I have mixed feelings about this place, which is unfortunate because the food was very good, it's beautiful inside and out, and the service was generally good. My issue was we just watched the waitstaff sing and celebrate a patron for their birthday. I asked our waitress for the same thing for our friend, who we were there to celebrate. The waitress came back alone and quiet, with a candlelit dessert, and then we were charged for it. I have never seen someone get charged for a birthday dessert! The four of us spent $200 on dinner and drinks... it just rubbed me the wrong way ??♀️
Decent pasta dishes and cocktails, however I found the pasta to be with too much sauce. The place has an excellent outdoor eating terrasse, great for the sunny days.
My son and I ate there this evening at 6. No reservation needed, seated immediately. The table wobbled. Drives me _____ crazy. A boy came and supposedly inserted a shim, but it was plastic and it slid loose. It totally escapes me that management allows a table to continue in this state without repair or adjustment. I have encountered this elsewhere and when I returned, the table was still not corrected. I agree with prior comments that the place is noisy and the tables are close. We were immediately attended. I ordered an Arnold Palmer for my beverage. Arrived in an 8 oz glass...Gee, can you afford it???!!!! There are refills, but.... It was a middle "C." I order this a lot, wherever I go, so I started grading them, as I do cole slaw. My son ordered a ravioli dish that he declared "very good." My veal parm was excellent, pounded thin, and there were two of them. I eschewed the pasta and asked for a house salad as my side, including bringing vinegar and oil to the table. However, it came already dressed. I REALLY like to do it myself because servers tend to over-dress the salad. It was tasty, with some baby spinach that I love, but a bit meager. So to conclude, the food is worth the trip - fair prices - but the "accessories" leave something to be desired and tend to detract from the total dining experience.
Amazing service absolutely delicious food homeade pasta , went to take my dad out for lunch there and he is in a wheelchair and they accommodated us had am open floor plan and were all so friendly. I would definitely recommend and come back. Zac was a great server and was very patient with the party of 8 of us.
Visited on Friday 3/4/22. My wife and I weren't sure where we wanted to go for dinner but we started our night with a cocktail at the Spasso bar. Prompt, friendly service from the bartender and a high top opened right behind us so we decided to stay. At our server's suggestion we got the crab cake special as an appetizer (of course the price was not on the menu) I ordered a shrimp over spinach & mixed vegetable special while my wife stuck with their homemade pasta and scallops. The "crab" cake was a joke, especially at 18.00. It was a tasteless and had no visible meat in it. Our meals came our and while my shrimp was tasty, the vegetables were severely over cooked and had the consistency of mush. In all fairness, my wife's pasta dish was very good. Our server was comical in that he kept walking past his tables simply saying," It looks like everything came out all right" while slightly pausing his stride. I never commented on my meal because it was apparent that he did not care and was only interested in a quick turnover. My "special" dinner was more a few dollars more that anything else on the menu and very disappointing. If you go to Spasso, stick with their homemade pasta.
Very nice atmosphere. Food was great. Nice happy hour menu
