Loved the experience, loved the food! My wife has Celiac's and very rarely feels full after eating anywhere. However, she got her fill here and was very happy to have such a nice place to go.The guacamole and chips were chunky and delicious. The blood orange margarita was perfectly mixed. The carnitas tacos were flavorful and the lime added a good kick. The corn flour tortillas were not crumbly and they held together well. Flan was the right amount of sweetness, but not too much. Will definitely be coming back.
This was my first visit to La Catrina but we had heard good things from family members. I arrived before my wife and had a margarita at the bar. It was very good and not overly sweet as so many margaritas are. I ended up getting a pitcher for us which was a real bargain. Our server Brielle was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. We had the Mussels appetizer and they were some of the best we have had - good sized plump ones from PEI. My wife had the seafood quesadilla and I had the fish tacos. We shared and both dishes were delicious. The price was fair, service and food great and we will be back.
We went tonight and the special was T Bone steak. I haven't had a steak in years and quickly ordered it medium rare. I made sure to emphasize to the waitress that it had to be medium rare. My husband said the same. It came back medium well done. Needless to say I left with no dinner. My husband ate his quinoa salad with very dry chicken while I watched. No management came over to find out the problem. When the bill came the waitress says I comped you. Won't be going back. Comped me, seriously. Your kitchen needs to know that it's not working.
Tried la Catrina when they had just opened, it was overpriced and disappointing. I wanted to give it another chance, thought they would have gotten better since they are still in business. They did not... The meat is dry (chicken, pork, all of it, awful), no flavor, it's ridiculously expensive and no one in the house wants to finish it because it is so bland. The cauliflower tacos were the most edible meal. Desserts were ok.
Upscale modern Mexican cuisine. It's pricey but well worth the price. I had the blackened salmon tacos and my wife had the carnitas tacos. Expect at least $20/ person with tip. More if you want a drink or something other than tacos.
Been here before for lunch it was very nice but dinner tonight left alot to be desired. Happy hour drinks had little to no alcohol in them. I got steak fajitas.....no meat... all fat and grizzle...and at the whopping cost of $27.99. Wont go back.☹
We have had a wonderful experience every time we have been there in the last few months. Food drinks and atmosphere is wonderful.
Went here for dinner with some friends as a last minute decision and absolutely do not regret it. The food was fantastic and the service was great! Happy hour menu is definitely worth taking a look at, but so were the normally priced tacos. Will be coming back again.
Ambiance, service good and drinks are amazing. Megan is awesome sauce!!!! She is personal, relatable, and super customer friendly. We started with Happy hour and stayed longer. You can't go wrong here!
a bit noisy and mexican food geared towards anglos but a fun place.
