Yesterday my friend and I attended this place for dinner and drinks. We were escorted to the patio by the hostess. This is where the disrespect begins... The first mistake was when we were placed in the last table near the exit/entrance.(back table,away from the scenery) So We moved ourselves to another table. B4 we were even noticed,we waited for about 25-30mins too even get a hello. At this point I'm ready too look up another spot to eat but the waitress finally came to the time and I wasn't feeling her energy at ALL. We put in a drink order two beers and a sour whiskey. About time that came out, that's like another 20-25 mins,now I'm getting upset. Than when the drinks finally came out, the Sour whiskey was flat and watered down as if it has been sitting at the bar for awhile.I politely sent the drink back with a smile on my face and order my drink signature which is very easy to make.Those drinks came back tasting like cranberry juice and lemon lime mix, remind you neither one of them ingredients are in this drink ordered.Another 30-35 mins until the food came out.At this point myself and my guest was upset. I wanted a box too go and the bill. When I requested the receipt and boxes,I was asked by the waitress how come I'm not pleased" big mistake,never ask the customer that, good customer service just apologize for the service an go get a manager. I been n the food industry for years and there were so many no no's. The customer service was very unpleasant and I will not be returning or recommend this place to anyone. This place was not packed for the service we received. I see everyone else being helped with a smile on their face. I try not to pull the race card. But if it quack like a duck ,look like a duck well it's a duck.I will say the cooks are good in the kitchen,but never again. THANKS Chef Kay
I got the jerk chicken sandwich. It was pretty good! We got cheesesteak egg rolls for an app. They were excellent!! The Barnaby's Punch was very good! The food is good but there is no ambiance. No flowers on the tables, no candles, etc. It was dead when we were there. Very boring! The cheesecake is $5 & it's not even a slice!! It's a lil round thing the size of a biscuit! It should've been $3!! We spent $70+ and would've rather went to a better quality restaurant for the price we paid.
The atmosphere is lovely but the service is fairly shaky. We were seated immediately but waited around 7 minutes for a server to show up (there couldn't have been more than 8 tables in the entire restaurant- not including an admittedly full bar). We didn't receive our drinks (water lol) until our food came out. I wouldn't have cared if the place was busy as I used to be a waitress myself (I was awful) but it just wasn't. My quesadilla had the largest, sloppiest cut peppers in it, making the whole thing just soggy and hard to eat. Again, great atmosphere but lacking in the service.
Food was excellent and service was great. We had Gia as our server who was very attentive and personable. I was surprised when she said that it was only her third day. She definitely is a keeper!
Nice aesthetic. Downstairs is some tables and bars with TVs and upstairs is open areas for dancing and pool.The end of the night exit routine is a little weird, where you end up being corralled like cattle literally
This location service is terrible. We waited 30 min to be seated,when we asked how much longer would the wait be they told us they are no longer seating anyone. Very unprofessional service instead of informing us about the wait time the receptionist was on her phone not worrying about anybody who was waiting to be seated.
Great food great service. We had Laura as our server, She was funny and quick. Can't wait to come back!!
My daughter and I were at Morbius today Friday, February 12. They had a valentine special that was a filet mignon. My daughter and I were extremely satisfied and amazed at how delicious the meal was. The fillet was done to our expectations and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious. You should not miss this Valentine holiday special
I have been to both the Havertown and Aston locations. The food is about the same at both locations however the staff at the Aston location is more pleasant, friendly and an over all better attitude. The Aston location has a better atmosphere. It's noticably quieter, Less TV's and because it's inside an old mill it has that old feel which works perfectly in this setting.I would recommend avoiding the dessert. It's of poor quality, very small servings and a waste of money. When the food is so good, they need to do better for their dessert.
