One of my favorite spots in Mechanicsburg, Kanagawa is amazing. I highly suggest the sashimi and Paco roll appetizer. Everything is high quality, and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Had an amazing time at Kanagawa last evening for some delicious sushi with a couple of friends. The staff was super nice and attentive. They have such a great selection of sushi and other Japanese cuisines. Some of the sushi roll combinations were unique and quite delectable. They also have your standard rolls as well. They were carefully prepared and very nicely plated. It is a BYOB restaurant and they will gladly provide you glasses and an ice bucket. Beautiful dining room and great ambiance. I think the only thing that would make it a bit better would be some music softly playing in the background. They also have a beautiful bar area that you can sit at and watch the sushi being prepared. I know I want to sit there next time! They also have a small parking lot in the back of the building off Lamont Ave. I will definitely be back. Great value for the price! I wish I had taken pictures to show you the amazing sushi, but it was so good I forgot to take any.
Fresh sushi, great service, clean and welcoming dining room. We love this place for a great sushi meal! Their sushi boat was a huge hit for my daughter’s birthday request.
Kanagawa is a “must visit” destination. Hands down the most delectable sushi I’ve ever had. Beautifully prepared, artfully presented and so fresh. Lovely, quiet dining room with the kindest, incredibly attentive staff. Michael (owner) is the sweetest, friendliest host. 100% delight all around. Can’t wait to return!
Love Sushi? Never had it? Ya gotta go here! Premier sushi chefs on Main street.Meet sushi Mike and Paul. I know we are now seeing warmer temperatures but this Sushi bar/ restaurant will warm you up. Whether it is the Sriracha, or the cozy heaters in the dining area, you all should stop in. Many great sushi rolls to choose from and some great food comes out of the kitchen as well. The fried rices , and the fried cheesecake are devine. Stop in on a Friday or on the weekend and treat yourself to a great experience! Ginn, one of the waitstaff is very knowledgeable of the menu items.
The customer service is great and the owner is super friendly. It's a cozy environment compared to other sushi places I've been to.Their rolls are delicious but still affordable. Highly recommend!
Was visiting the area and stopped by to check it out. Coming from the DC metro area, the sushi was surprisingly (to me) fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We ordered a miso soup, a Hawaii Roll, some white tuna sashimi, and the Eagle Roll (clearly, we are white tuna lovers). All of it was VERY good. Service was attentive, it was clean, and the sushi chef stopped by our table to chat. Excellent experience, will definitely return.
Sushi Michael has an Amazing feng shui with delicious sushi and appetizers. Such a kind spirit. I always go Akita and he done it once again! Thank you for the delicious lunch with my Girlfriend.
Incredible food, hosting and atmosphere. Our only regret was not visiting sooner. New fav on sushi restaurants. Super fresh! We even enjoyed our take home meals for the next day. Thank you!!
Excellent sushi! We tried a few different rolls in addition to a chef's choice nigiri entree. Our waiter was also very friendly and attentive despite having to cover all the tables on his own. We look forward to visiting again soon.
