Excellent food and excellent service. We decided to give them a try and drove 2 hours to try out their Jain food menu, and glad we did, being Jain was not hoping for tons of options, but to our surprise they can make over 80% of their menu items Jain and they were not kidding, we tried several items and every single one of them tasted fresh, flavorful, and savoury, it was exceptional. To go with exceptional food, their service was pretty amazing as well, way better than some of the other Honest we have been to. Highly recommend for Jain food.
I came to this restaurant with five other people. We came here to try some Indian fast food, emphasis on “fast”. We ordered a bunch of food, and as we later realized, this location is clearly understaffed. They should’ve let us know that the food would take a while because we would’ve at least made an informed decision as to what/how much we ordered. They made us wait for too long for two of the people’s orders, and the food we waited on wasn’t even that good. The items were either bland or too salty. On top of everything, the person working the cash register was super rude to one of us. She didn’t expect what came as her order, and she wasn’t satisfied with the presentation of it, so she asked to get a different dish. He rudely opposed the request and proceeded to tell us that a new order would take way longer. Overall, we will not be dining here after this experience. Not only was the wait for the food too long, but the customer service wasn’t acceptable in the least. Hopefully, they fix these mistakes before they lose more customers.
First time trying pani puri and a few other dishes. Everything was delicious!
Wow experience. Food is excellent. Ambience is even better. The owners and workers are awesome. Great service. Ample parking. Can be clubbed in with Indian grocery shopping. It's a win win. Definitely recommended if in the area looking for an awesome vegetarian meal. Options for great snacks, lunch dinner and desserts. Will try the indo Chinese next.
Honestly the dishonest restaurant ever.I ordered Veg Fried Rice with Manchuria and an Onion Rava Dosa. The fried rice was sure re-heated and re-served in a half empty tiny bowl. The rice was too hard and there are literally 1.5 pieces of manchuria. The onion rava dosa is so hard to chew. Its flaky and as hard as potato chips. When I asked waiter about the quantity and quality the response was rude. I asked him why they named it as Veg Fried Rice with Manchuria but in the menu when there is no manchuria in it. He rudely asked me in return what else should it be called?Well, you should call it as “Left Over Rice” and “Rava Dosa Chips”Save your time and money folks!
While the food is delicious, this business is poorly operated. It takes a long time for your order to be completed, minimum 20 minutes even for a single cold drink when the restaurant is empty and your order is for carry out. They expect you to do your own quality control inspection for carry out orders, or you frequently find out when you get home that your order is incorrect or missing items. There is never an apology or compensation when you have to drive all the way back from home to fix an order. If dining in, never go during a meal time. There are so few parking spaces available for such a large restaurant, and you will have to park in the dirt along the hill, but beware that many customers are unsophisticated and will double park and block you in, creating a nightmare to find the right patron dining to move his car. This business needs better organized management desperately, as well as more parking spaces.
I am totally disappointed I ordered two masala Dosa it was like Leather hard to tear not a pinch of oil it was bone dry harder to chew. The potato masala was bland and taste less.Sambhar served is not sambar it is terrible.Vegetable biryani was tasteless ,just rice mixed with hot chillies and Chilli powder It is not vegetable biryani just colored rice very hot and tasteless.Waste of money I don't recommend this restuarant to anybody. The person at the desk has attitude problem. On the whole they don't deserve any stars.
My HONEST review (no pun intended :])Had 4 plates-1. Vegetable sandwich (grill) - $7.99Toasted bread with tomato, cucumber, green chutney with chips and ketchup on side.My take....3/10. Dish was warm as expected. Extremely mediocre sandwich with mild taste for $8 (I mean c'mon tomato and cucumber only?!....one would think vegetable sandwich would have vegetables. However raw onions on side was on point with paprika on it.2. Bahuballi sandwich grill - $11.494 layer sandwich shredded beet/carrot/onions/tomato/masala mashed potatoes with seasoned fries and ketchup on side.My take....6/10...interesting taste..new thing to try. Dish was warm as expected. Hate it or love it type of taste. Didn't really appreciate the sweetness in the savory mix. If you like spicy sandwich like typical Bombay sandwich from India..stay away from this...Btws I looked at some pics and ordered this based on how it looked and it looked different so I asked the guy where the cheese on top? He replied oh that's just for the pictures online...not cool man not cool. I wanted the cheese drizzle.3. Veg noodles with ManchurianEssentially description as title says haha.My take....5/10...very salty(coming from my sister who adds salt to all foods who thought it was salty) and very oily. Instant stomach reflux inducer. Again mediocre taste. Medium spicy. Noodles were cooked. Small amount of veggies. Food was warm as expected.4. Mysore masala DosaFor those that don't know, it's a Savory crepe with special Mysore spice spread on it (medium to hot ?) with mashed potatoes mix inside and tomato red chutney and coconut white chutney and sambhar. My take....6/10....mediocre taste.Dosa and mix inside was room temperature (not warm as expected) however it looked fresh. Taste was decent. It was not too salty or too spicy. If it was little more warm, it would've been better. Sambhar had a good taste and it was warm as expected. It was not too salty or spicy and had a good taste. Chutneys on side weren't anything special.Comparison made with nearby restaurants (NOT India or NJ or bigger cities which have MUCH better food quality... obviously.Overall, food quality was mediocre. 6/10. Nothing special, but certain plates maybe unique to this restaurant in comparison to others nearby in Harrisburg area like pav bhaji.Would I come back again? Yes. I'd like to try other plates, but frankly, these plates were very disappointing and I will likely never order them again from here (perhaps I hyped myself up from "honest" name from India).Service was decent. Gentleman was nice. Order at front of store first then sit...pay when you leave. Credit cards accepted. Breath mint fennel seeds/saunff/mukhwas at entry.Tables were spaced. Felt okay. We took off masks when food came. Waiters/staff didn't wear masks just fyi if you care.Btws they charge for water ????(understandable food prices went up a bit from Covid)Enjoy.
Dahi Puri is sooooo delicious! Best appetizer ever, will definitely come back ? Very kind staff as well, wonderful place, except for dishes and cups and silverware - too much waste, bloody covid will never end :( bring our own forks hehe
Really good Indian veg restaurant. Plenty of choices and very good customer service. Personal favorite is chhole bhature and katappa sandwiches. The curries are decent. Good prices too.
