I had salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and it was really good. Portion size was just right. My husband had shrimp and scallops with garlic mashed potatoes. His portion size was also just perfect. Our waiter was very good as well.
Outstanding experience! Conveniently located off of the Carlisle Pike. The atmosphere is active and inviting, and the food is priced very well for its quality. I took the wife here for her Birthday. Our server, Bill, was extremely polite and friendly, and most importantly, prompt without being overbearing. He seemed to appear exactly when we needed something, but otherwise allowed us to enjoy our meal and each other. We ordered Steak and potatoes, and a house dish called Chicken Carrabba, which is served over fettuccini noodles with a white sauce, and a peach Sangria to go with it. Everything was delicious. Bread, Oil, and pepper were left on the table while we waited for the sides, both of which were a salad. After our meal, Bill brought us a slice of Birthday cake for my wife, and helped us package up the food we couldn't finish at the table. Well done to the host, Bill, and the chef. I will be eager to return for another date in the future.
We went for lunch on Thursday, June 9th, Ordered drinks from the bar, they came out promptly. Ordered our food Soup and Salad. Bread came right away. It was approximately 1:10 PM we waited for over twenty minutes after we ordered. They were not busy maybe 4-5 other tables. We were a party of 5. A table of 2 that came in after us was all ready done and paying their check when I asked a server that came by our table to send a manager over. We waited another 10 minutes four of the people ordered a hot food item and that arrived. After 35 minutes the salads and three of the soups arrived. The staff was talking and laughing in the take out area. A manager never approached the table even after the second request. We had been there for over an hour. I approached the cold side to see the soup in the pan just sitting there. I asked the waitress if I could have a ladle to serve it myself she said that was not possible then I asked if she would please do it. The manager came out from the back he said he did not want me talking to his staff. I replied that we have been waiting for our soup and salad for over 30 minutes and I thought the policy is to have your soup and or salad within 5 minutes and he agreed, then he said they were very busy which was not true. He also said “Maybe you should not come back again” I was shocked I asked his name Bill. I have never been treated so poorly and have worked in the service industry for many years. Then it took another 25 minutes to get our checks. My one friend had to leave for an appointment. I paid her check. It was by far the worst experience my friends and I had and I felt bad because I suggested we go there for lunch. I will never recommend or suggest we go to Carrabbas in Mechanicsburg for lunch again.
Horrible experience. Had to walk out. Generally like this place but they lost customers forever. Poor attitudes and total disregard for customer satisfaction. We ordered food and an appetizer. Mussels showed up very shortly after we ordered and the place was not terribly busy. 45 min later after asking for our waitress or a manager we had to walk out with some other customers as the manager and wait staff couldn't be bothered to serve us. The waitress could be bothered to bring straws for our drinks or replenish our drinks with the same drink. We ran out of bread and oil and a busser just cleared the table and never brought anything back to replace it. Overall this place gets an D in my book. At least the appetizer tasted good. I'll never go back and I will never recommend this establishment to anyone ever again.
Went here with the wife when we had free time away from the kids. It's a little pricey but I gotta say I enjoyed the food. The bread was great. The food all around was great. I had lobster raviolis and my wife had lasagna. We were not disappointed. The desert was ok. Had the cannoli cake for two and chocolate dream. They were not the best I have tasted but I enjoyed it. We will definitely go again
Ate here with my husband, his pasta was in overcooked clumps! As he was moving around the dish he noticed burnt to a crips pasta. And I mean black! Gross. His Alfredo was watery. My chicken Parmesan taste was good but it was super greasy. Manager came by asked if we're okay. Told her and showed the clump of pasta on a bread plate. She asked if we wanted a remake… no we said. She said okay and walked away. Charged 65$ for food we didn’t eat.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by going to dinner here. We did the call ahead seating, when we got there they did not have our name down, no big deal though they put our name down and we waited it didn’t seem that busy. We watched people walking in the down that did not do call ahead seating get seated. We continued to wait and our name never got called. My husband asked the desk about it and for the second time they never put our name down. We ask to speak with the manager, a blonde woman, didn’t get a name because when we told her what happened she could care less- she nodded her head and walked away- the least she could have done was say sorry. We always get great service here so we were so disappointed that our anniversary dinner turned out that way.
We have always had great food & great service, but this evening was the best. Damein was a phenomonal server during our entire dining experience. He was very attentive and friendly. He was certainly the selling point of our dinner.
We were seated quickly and our server Kayla was great. Salads and meals came out fast and our orders were all correct. The pasta was slightly overcooked and not exactly hot and the broccoli was obviously microwaved, overcooked, watery and mushy. The steaks were cooked well and the canolli cake was very good as well.
Always amazing service and the food is great. Recommend the chocolate cake for dessert!
