Walked in door, got seated. 7 people behind counter but yet still no one came to us after 15 mins of waiting. This is second time to give this place a chance and again they failed. Service is terrible! We won’t discuss how dirty the place is. Service is enough. Don’t go here I wouldn’t trust anything that comes out the kitchen.
Pretty big disappointment. Nice little nostalgic seafood shack and the food was decent, but service was pretty bad and cleanliness a bit questionable. Took a while to get our food, waitress missed someone's order at our table and also lied to us about being out of oysters and clams (we saw two separate tables with them even though they arrived after we had already ordered). Seems like a place that favors regulars, but it's an OK spot of you're looking for mediocre seafood.
Stopped here on a Sunday where there was only two people working yet they still knocked everything out of the park and the pricing is very affordable. Food was absolutely amazing, snow crab cooked perfectly and cherry stone clams were the best I’ve had so far. Will definitely be stopping here again!
Food was authentic seafood fare. I thought I was in Florida or the Jersey Shore. Decor was "crab shacky". Service was friendly, obviously run by "locals". All is good.
110% satisfied ! Their food was absolutely amazing. Snow crab and sea chips for out of this world! The service was very polite and very tentative to the customers. I haven't been there in 30 years I can guarantee I will be going back in the next week! This is a must try place if you have not been there you won't regret it!!! ( Cash only )
I had the broiled stuffed flounder and it was excellent. My wife had the garlic parmesan encrusted tilapia and it was also excellent. Under the Pier is a diamond in the rough. We did take out so we could watch the Phillies.
Nice people. Cash only. Got a lunch combo. The clam cake was tasty, everything else was dry and bland. The tartar sauce was a glob of mayo with a sprinkle of relish. Maybe it's hit or miss but I wouldn't recommend it.
Excellent food. Nice, very casual, blue-jeans wearing atmosphere. I had the fried shrimp with fried potatoes. The shrimp were crispy yet tender inside. Literally melted in my mouth. I can't say enough about their potatoes. They are fried(?) but not at all greasy. Absolutely delicious. My sister enjoyed their fish and chips. Everything was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Great prices and very generous portions. I had to sit a few minutes after eating because I was stuffed. Mark was our server. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If you enjoy seafood, this is the place to go. Bring cash, they do not accept credit cards. I very highly recommend.
Always great. Moved out of state last year and really miss this little gem. Stopped last week while in the area and tried the English Fish and Chips . We usually get big combo platters but didn't want leftovers. Best I've ever had, huge portions and still had leftovers! Also Fried Tomatoes!!!!! Perfectly done. My mouth is watering!
Great service. Same quality for the past 40 years we have been going there. Hidden gem followed by their regulars. Staff seems to know what some of their customers want without looking at menu. AWESOME, Unique place
