Restaurant had a nice size crowd for a a Sunday evening around 7:45. We were greeted by a bus boy/hostess. When we were seated we were told that one of our bartenders would be there to take our order. No waitress? Thought that was odd. We ordered a beer (very good hazy IPA), nachos, brisket sandwich, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the specials bacon grilled cheese.Nachos were tortilla chips that had a can on cheese whiz and a jar of jalapeño peppers on them. Squeezed sour cream and green stuff that I assumed was guacamole. For the price I would have hoped for something fresher. They were gross to say the least. Maybe we should have put the chicken or brisket on them.Sandwiches - Nashville- sad piece of a chicken patty. Nothing fresh. Brisket- slab of meat, decent flavor, but bread was burnt on the grill. The special grilled cheese was anything but special. Soggy and burnt at the same time with way too much of the red onion jam. Despite asking for silverware from the bus boy we never got it. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and did their best to keep up despite the busy dining area and bar. They did their best to keep up.Menu has promise but fails in execution. Beer was good. Wait staff friendly but need more help. They could do with a waitress or two. I’ll came and it was $75 minus tip. Over priced for the whole experience. If food quality was there I wouldn’t complain about price tag.
My husband and I came for a beer and a bite to eat after traveling from an hour away to go biking at Swatara State Park. We each had a flight of beers, a pretzel, and hot sandwiches. The food was incredible, and our server was so sweet. I’m a picky beer drinker who usually only likes fruited sours, but I loved every beer in both mine and my husband’s flights. We plan to come back again!
We drive to Lebanon from south central PA to dine at Snitz Creek Brewery. At first, the food was great, hence our return visits. Unfortunately, on the past two visits, our food has not been very well prepared. The first time, we put it down to being a Friday and a larger than normal lunch crowd. The second time, the restaurant was almost empty, so we have to wonder if they have new kitchen staff. Our food was overdone and had little flavor except for the burned taste from the fryer . I love the fish fry and was so disappointed, especially because we drove so far for what we had anticipated would be a good meal. Probably won't be making that trip again any time soon. (sad face)
The food was made fresh and tasted delicious, but the prices are pretty high. Jodie was our waitress; she did a good job. They are temporarily serving with paper and plastic due to construction on the water line and local restrictions.
My boyfriend’s crab cake sandwich and my fish tacos were terrible, and my drink tasted powdery. We told our waiter & he said sorry but did nothing. The manager asked how things were & we told her - instead of a refund she gave us a gift card worth less than half our meal to return & give them another chance. It will go in the trash.
Average neighborhood dive. Not a place I would drive by and feel compelled to have a drink and a meal.Having a location in a section of town that is on the decline I think they need to make you feel moreinviting. and brighten up their footprint. We came in the door stood waiting to be seated for three or for minutes The bar staff started looking at us as we some strange creature . One young lady finally said just grab a booth , I asked to have a table then it turned into a Monty python episode and there was a huge problem. Finally we were told tot sit any where. We grabbed a table. We got a seat and waited a bit and a table that came in and was seated had a waitress come and take their order . A waitress then zipped over an dropped off our menus. We ordered pretty quickly but there was no asking if we had been there if there special that night . When we ordered our food it came out really quick. We decided that on this trip we were just go to have a dinner of shared apps. The food ,a pretty largePretz braid with a beer cheese and a mustard dipping sauce , loaded fries and lava wings. The fries were loaded , stuffed and plentiful. The wings were good and the name was misleading. We ordered two of the mohito specials that weren't too special. The food arrived pretty quick- really quick. But no silverware or napkins . It took several minutes to flag down a waitress and get silverware. The service picked up .we had another round of drinks with a really tasty limoncello cake and an ok s'mores lava cake I think it wes called. We would could have been easily talked trying another drink if any of the waitresses were trying. You work in what looks to be in what seems to be an interesting environment. We spoke to four wait staff Devin was the most Interested and involved .The actions of the waitress were up and down.I know they have been open a while but it felt you were in resturant that had a bunch of people just turned loose poorly trained but trying hardIt was triva night we stayed, you could tell a couple groups were locals that this was there Thursday night regular hangout. We will be back to try some of their brewed beers and more of the menu.Sweep your dump out front and train you staff ..
Ordered the everything but the kitchen sink skillet which was mostly tasteless overcooked eggs, on dry tasteless hash covered with a thankfully tasty sausage gravy and good biscuits. Rather a waste of calories. Won't be returning.
Had a great experience. The beers are really good, the food is just as good(one of the best fish tacos I've ever had) and Destiny was fun and very informative of the area. Definitely going to include it on our next day trip to the area.
I was on a date Sunday night 9/24/22. If it wasn't for the food being half way decent the experience would've been awful. There was 4 people at the bar, which I am assuming were regulars, a table on the patio before we arrived and maybe one later into our experience showed up, and a 4 top that showed up after us. Our experience was a lot of waiting. For what reason, I believe the bartender/server/whomever was intoxicated. We waited for about 10 minutes to get our drink order. Wasn't a long wait for those or our food order. When we were about half way through our meal we asked for a glass of water. When the water was finally brought we had had our dishes stacked at the end of our table, for about 10 minutes. He made a comment about if its not about beer he tends to forget which is what lead me to believe he was intoxicated on top of him drinking something I couldn't see from my spot. He was very nice and sincere but the service he provided to not only my table but the other patrons was a poor reflection on the establishment. When we asked to get our check, a couple at the bar that had come in had a couple beers and a quick bite had paid and that was what prompted him to get us our check. We were waiting about 15 minutes. He was not busy working but chatting up the bar and cooks. I'm a chef in the industry and I believe his behavior to be unprofessional. I would return again but only for the food. Great job to the cooks. You saved our experience.
Wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Server brought cheeseburger and chips. Had to go order the fries. I was hungry for fried chicken. Used to get that menu item there before the Snitz Creek management. Was always delicious. My chicken was way over cooked. Almost black. I also asked for a baked potato. Nope, don't do those. Had to go for their mashed. Asked for a salad. Nope doesn't come with that meal. Only green beans. When my order arrived, my mashed potatoes were just that. No gravy. Had to ask for gravy. We won't be back.
