I really wanted to like this place, I would rather go to an independent business than a chain. The food was overpriced and horrible. I wouldn’t eat there again if it was free. The servers were great but I would have had a better dinner eating microwaved frozen food from the grocery store. The food was over cooked, dry and tasteless. I rarely ever leave reviews but this place deserves to be called out. We will never come here again. Worst dining experience in years.
Food was delicious but I felt awful for the waitresses. They looked incredibly overwhelmed and understaffed. We had a reservation but had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. We watched people get up and leave, wishing us "good luck" because they had been sat for ages waiting for food that never came.
Had higher expectations since my husband heard it was good some years ago. They have new lighting, fans, seating and floors which looks nice, but a bucket near the kitchen catching leaking water. The nice tables had butcher shop brown paper for table cloths like it was a bbq joint.The 2 servers/hosts were busy and I won’t blame them for any of this review. We had a long wait for the food but being short staffed is not the servers fault.The food sucked.I’m sorry, but how do you mess up french fries? Lukewarm and soggy. I had to salt them. The house salad was a joke. Literally 1 single ring of an onion, a slice of tomato and 1 slice of a cucumber. A little bit of shredded carrot. I ordered the crab cakes on toast and they were almost burnt breaded balls on Arnold’s sliced bread. Only 1 at first because the cook didn’t know it was supposed to be 2.No crab flavor, dry.Husbands fish and chips were the same, overcooked and flavorless. Season the food please.For the prices, this was disappointing and they cheaped out using generic ketchup, not Heinz. I get that this isn’t fine dining , but tavern food can be damn good. I ate most of it because I was starving after hours of hiking, and I wanted it to taste good so much. We didn’t want to be a PITA to the very busy servers either and complain. We ate what we could and left.Owners should have spent the money on quality food over pretty remodels. One of our favorite restaurants is an outdated design nightmare but the food is bangin.Also pick a menu to use. Who gives you 2 different version of a menu? It’s just weird.
Food was delicious, waited over an hour for our food. That being said the staff is new and the owner is doing all 5he cooking, we didn't mind the wait.
Very friendly service. Excellent food. Not your typical bar fare. Yes there are burgers and fries but also seafood and filet mignon. I had the seafood bake (crab? Scallops, and shrimp). They make their own bread and garlic butter to spread on it. Or you can go with plain butter. Bingo on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Worst dining experience ever....waited 1:45 till we were served only to have the manager get in my face while we were trying to eat saying I made the waitress cry ? Then gave me a laundry list of excuses for the wait. the poor girl was crying due to a breakdown from all the stress she was under not caused by me. Our meals were discounted but I'll never be back...very unprofessional
We used to love this place but just had a horrible experience. We waited 25 mins for a beer and a water. We placed our order and we were informed that because the manager was late getting out the specials, we weren’t allowed to order yet!! That is placing our order would fringe upon her specials. When we explained that we had a one hour window and specifically came there to be in and out, we were told that it would be at least another 15mins until the manager would allow our order to be placed!! Needless to say, we left. Until there’s better management and customer service, we won’t return.

Fantastic food. Waitresses were sharp with serving too. Crab cakes and scallops out of this world.
Friendly atmosphere with amazing people and even amazing-er food. The staff is fabulous, kind, and quick to attend to you. Food was priced more than fairly for high quality and large portions. I enjoyed my experience and I will come back often. Thank you, Belinda, for your gracious hospitality! 10/10 recommend to anyone local or people visiting the area.
