Came here after a long bike ride Monday night around 10 pm before heading back to D.C. Bartender was super friendly and made myself.and my lady feel right at home even though we stuck out like a sore thumb. Food was great price was right. What more can you ask for.
Good beer selection and fantastic cheese steaks and hoagies. Put this with great service and nice weather to sit on the outside porch, it made for a great meal.
I wouldn't go back for the food. I think the oil was bad so all the fried food had a bad taste and was soaked in the oil. The tip subs we ordered medium were burnt and barely had any meat in them. The pizza was edible but not good. The bartender was nice. People were smoking on the deck with their screendoor open so the whole bar area smelled of smoke.
Where do I start?? My father passed away a week ago, my family and I decided to go to the Villanova for a couple drinks after the service. Kristen was working behind the bar, I gave her my credit card and asked to start a tab for my wife and I. An hour later another member of my party wanted to buy a round of drinks for everyone at our table. Kristen decided to charge her for every drink from the time we got there. When we brought her mistake to her attention, she told myself and the other person to shut up because she was talking. The other member of my party was so confused as there were two extra mixed drinks and two extra beers on her tab that no one had, she gave up and just paid the bill. A little later my wife and my sister each had a shot, which was on my tab. When I closed my tab, Kristen said it was $12 and I'm good, the bill was paid. A few minutes later another woman employed there came up to me and said I still owed $12.00. After arguing for a little while with the other woman and Kristen, I threw $12 on the table and told them they have absolutely no idea what they're doing before I left. I will never go back, they love to bill for things you don't order.Kristen is without a doubt the worst bartender I've ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and go to Aroogas, it's just a few blocks up the road.
The food was good! The porch was also the perfect spot to have a drink and enjoy the weather.
My hubby and I stopped in for a bite I got the tip sandwich it was very good..
Typical bar food. Nothing spectacular, but still edible. The bartender was great though!
