Our experience was overall excellent. One quibble. I thought that the lunch menu was a bit limited and unvaried. We've come for lunch a number of times over the years and the menu (as I recall) has not changed. The quality and portion size has remained uniformly excellent.
Food was generally good, not great. French onion soup was fine. Scallops were small and a tad underdone, with no caramelization one would expect when pan sauteed, however the accompanying risotto was good. Pork schnitzel was good although the very few pieces of spaetzle was quite humorous. I played "hunt for the spaetzle". Hahaha. Cream puff for dessert was tasty, but a bit overcooked. Overall, a reasonable experience, but not one to rush back again.
Elegant but comfortable. Accommodating staff. Makes for a very special evening out.
1st time at the restaurant and I was expecting so much more. 1st off, there was a large party of adults and children. The parents were seated at one table and children at another. While the parents did try to keep the children quiet, it was still loud and not a very relaxing environment. This large party should have been sat in a separate room so as not to disturb other diners. The food was fair. I ordered the scallops with risotto and corn. The restaurant is in Lancaster county and it is corn season. I would have expected to have more than 5 kernels of corn in my meal. On a good note, Natalie was very friendly and personable. It appeared as though she was the only server in the bar area but she did a good job of keeping up with everything even with the large party. The piano music was wonderful and helped drown out how loud the room was. I am glad I tried the restaurant.
We were going to the Sight and Sound Theater afterwards and only had about 1 hour. We told our waitress up front and she jumped right on it. Promptly took our orders and made sure we had them in plenty of time. We had eaten a late lunch so no one in our group of 8 was terribly hungry so we each split an entree between couples and ordered a couple of appetizers. She divided the dinners for us! Really appreciated it. Great service and great food. We will definitely go back again next time we are in town.
The food, presentation and service were, as always, excellent! We especially recommend the steak and the scallops!
Great experience!
Our reservation was made months ago for the special request to sit near the piano. We come here every two years after seeing a show at Sight and Sound so itâs been a tradition. When we arrived this year the host put us in a separate room and upon request he did move us into the piano bar area which we were very grateful for. the cocktails were amazing. The fish on special was top-notch! ! the vegetables and potatoes complimented the grouper perfectly. our waiter/bartender was top-notch as well! Listening to the piano player and singer just topped off a wonderful night. Canât wait to return to this amazing restaurant.
This is a really nice place to eat. The scallops and lemon tart with fresh fruit were delicious. Environment was peaceful.
This is a very pretty venue. The service was great and we loved our he piano player. They accommodated my request for a vegetarian option. My husbands vegetables were a little over cooked but the rest was good.
