Even though an hour wait, we put our name in. Spent that time at Central Market. We were alerted our table was ready before the hour was up. Michelle the hostess was a doll. So welcoming. Sean our waiter was on top of it all. Our group ordered Burnt tips-very tasty, Mac n cheese…our son said it was great. I got smash burger salad. Wouk’s highly recommend.
I found this place through Google maps. It was walking distance from our hotel and I honestly thought it was a Chinese restaurant. Instead it felt like I went back in time when the place kids would hang out at the soda shop. I didn't have reservations but we were able to dine at the bar. We were seated quickly and our order was taken right away. Loved the music, the atmosphere, the decor and the whole Max team. I especially loved my BBQ Burnt Ends. My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich and a beer. The portions we generous. The staff were friendly and made sure we were enjoying our experience. I would definitely recommend making reservations if you want a table. We however, quite enjoyed our meal at the bar.
We were looking for a place with both breakfast and lunch options in this area and came across Max's. The photos online looked really cool and the menu sounded good so we gave it a try. We lucked into a street parking spot right out front which was great. We went at about 11:30 on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. There was a 30 minute wait for a table or counter space available right away. We chose to go with the counter.Their drink menu had a lot of good sounding options and we watched the bartenders make several drinks and they were not stingy with the alcohol. The mimosas were 3/4 champagne as opposed to other places where it's juice with a splash of champagne. My husband ordered the Burrito Jefe and I went with a single waffle and the Biscuits and Gravy. I'm so glad I decided to add the Biscuits and Gravy because those were by far the stand out. The waffle was good, but honestly it's pretty hard to mess up waffles. The Biscuits though were beyond. They were so buttery and somehow still had some crispy to them despite being covered by sausage gravy. The gravy was the perfect flavor and the sausage was cut into bigger chunks and not just crumbled throughout which was nice. The whole thing was topped with an egg, which I chose over easy, and green onion. It all went so well together and I would order it so many times! My husband really enjoyed the Burrito Jefe and said he would order that again as well. The restaurant itself is decorated very cute with neon signs. It's a mix between a traditional diner and a stylish hip restaurant. The staff were very friendly and we had a great visit.Another perk is that the restaurant is in very close proximity to the Lancaster Central Market which happened to be open the day we were there.
Super rad spot!Smash burger was awesome and the burnt ends were perfect.Adult milkshakes and burgers how can you go wrong.Recommend reservations but bar is first come first serve with plenty of room to have a meal.
This place was so cute! We ended up at this restaurant when our original option ended up being closed, but I am so grateful that we did end up here! The food was delicious, I got scrambled eggs with bacon and tots and it was so good. The bacon was crisp and fresh, and the eggs were so fluffy. And don't get me started on the milkshake. It was so delicious, I got the peanut butter cup one and it was so tasty. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, we accidentally made our reservation for later than we meant and they worked with us and got us seated in maybe 5-10 minutes. And the staff were super accommodating with changes to the meals. They basically let us add anything and asked us if we wanted any extras. It was so nice, especially since we didn't know what they had. I would absolutely come back here, and highly recommend it to anybody who wants a great brunch experience.
Had we remembered about this place we would have went here for breakfast, but after we had breakfast at another establishment we were walking down the street past Max's and decide to pop in for a drink. We had such a nice time there we sat at the counter and both ordered a beer and looked over the menu and definitely will be going back for a meal.
We had a wonderful experience at Max's! Our server Brittany helped us navigate the menu and shared the specials. Each person in our party had something different-the Bloody Mary Smash Burger, the ElJefe Burrito, a single Smash Burger , and the Steady Eddie. Everything was so good, and the service was awesome! We had reservations at the Fulton Theater and our server made sure we were done in plenty of time to get to the show.
We could tell this was going to be a hit when there was a line waiting for them to open at 5! The server was super friendly and really patient with explaining the menu and giving us plenty of time to decide without rushing us. The food and drinks were fantastic! The prices were also very reasonable. Would definitely come here again without hesitation!
Great place for a delicious quick bite. They serve brunch all day. Very friendly staff willing to explain menu highlights and options. Had wonderful sweet potato hash with eggs. Will come again for the burgers and shakes.
We had a great brunch at this fun and funky eatery in Lancaster. The service was great, the menu had so many tempting offerings! Both breakfast and lunch items sounded fun and all that we ordered was wonderful! Great place to bring kids. Make sure you get a reservation!!!!
