They are first come first serve which can mean longer wait times during peak hours but it is worth the wait. The Horse Inn cheeseburger is one of my favorites! I had the people pleaser cocktail to start and then switched and had the wilderness disorder which I LOVED!
Loved the secret Speakeasy vibe... big stairs to get in, so not handicap accessible from what I could see. Love the stall and hayloft decor. The Little Green Dragon drink was wonderful and worth the price! Food was excellent and all in our family enjoyed our meals. Only comment might be is , if you can't do or don't like salt, ask chef to go easy or not at all! Server was personable and prompt! I give this place 4 and 3/4 stars.Would definitely go back to Horse Inn !
Amazing place, food and drinks. The staff is super nice. Just watch out if you park on the street, they most likely fine you. The staff can point you to a parking spot nearby!
A friend and I went to celebrate their birthday and it did not disappoint! It was busy at 6pm and they said it could take up to 40 minutes to get a table for us so they took my number. We were able to get a drink while waiting and within 10 minutes we got our booth which was an old horse stall! The food was fantastic, the cocktails were fabulous, and there was someone playing the piano.I can't wait to go again!
Love this little tavern style bar. Definitely a hidden gem in Lancaster city. They don’t offer reservations, so be prepared to wait if visiting at a peak time. They have two bars you can sit at while you wait too! Mixed drinks, horse fries, and horse inn cheeseburger are the best!
The Horse Inn is a great place for food and drink with a lot of character. The Good: excellent drinks, amazing food, great atmosphere. The OK: parking was tough, as it’s in a neighborhood with mostly permit parking and their small lot was full. Also the menu isn’t super expansive but what they have is creative and they do it very well. I’ll be back.
they are charging a 5% living wage fee on the bill that goes to back office staff. no signage mentions it beforehand. plus it's not added to alcohol, just food. why would you say to a customer, " we are not paying our staff a living wage, so we will add it to food customers bills but not drinkers". they need to up their prices and give employees permeant living raises. I'll not eat here again with such thoughtless fees.
First time visit to Horse Inn and it was fabulous! Unique selection of dishes that are more than their "names" imply. The "ham & cheese" had housemade pimento cheese and collard greens with bacon. Super tasty. The cheese burger was excellent, well prepared and much more than you would find other places.Really good, crispy French fries.Beautiful setting; booths are horse stables. Friendly staff. ?2 important points when you go:* They do NOT take reservations so choose your time wisely or expect to wait. Our wait was only 15 minutes.* Parking is difficult. Permit parking only on their block. Small lot down the street gets filled quickly. You may have to search for a spot.
This is a very interesting restaurant, It is hard to imagine that maybe the owner of the stable a hundred years ago changed the function and made it a restaurant bar. There are many items in the restaurant that were once used in the stables and they have become decorations. Food and wine are also very special. I like restaurants with character and atmosphere. i will come again.
So here's the deal - get the horsey fries. You might need to get 2 orders. It's very polite of them to have the half order as an option but I'm not sure there's a situation where the half order is applicable. You'll always want the full order.Mystery beer is a fun option too.The food it outstanding. The cocktails are amazing. I'm really love how they create an upscale casual atmosphere.First come. First served. But they have fun games to pass any wait time.Could you let me know if you go though? I'm probably going to want to go along
