Conway Social ClubThe other day, I went out with some friends, and they took me to Conway Social Club. I have never been, and mind you, I am new to Lancaster. It took me about 10 minutes to find the door/sign because it is obscure. When you are looking for the door, it's a red door, and the sign is on the left inside; you will not see it from the sidewalk.I did not see an elevator, so I don't think it is handicap accessible, so if you cannot walk upstairs, I do not recommend going. However, the ambiance was charming. It felt like I was part of a social club that was a membership only, so that already met my expectation. The menu is exciting, but they do not have a large selection. I ordered the cauliflower tempura, which was good. I ordered a steak with fries and a salad as my main entree. I was impressed with the steak as it was well-seasoned and cooked medium-rare. The fries were great, and I did not care for the salad too much. The drinks were phenomenal. I forgot which drinks I ordered, but you can see them from the photos I posted for this review. As a foodie, I recommend this place if you have a partner and want a good place to go for date night. The service was good. Our server was attentive and catered well to our needs.
Incredible atmosphere. Exactly the way to spend time celebrating an anniversary.Drink menu is unique and expansive while the food menu is simple and perfect. They even offered a non-alcoholic option for my pregnant wife, which was delicious. A must stop when in Lancaster.
Fantastic drinks, David is super cool.Food is nice too.Atmosphere is super chill. If you love cocktails and are in Lancaster, you can't go wrong by visiting here.Everything is reasonably priced too. Seriously, go here.Might need a reservation if its a weekend though.
Totally not worth the hype. This place tries a little too hard to act like some high-end, elitist bar but just ended up an annoying lounge with a wait staff that needs an attitude adjustment. The star is solely for the decor inside. I’ve been to some really high-end places (former NYC resident here) with exceptional cocktails and excellent service, and this isn’t one.Details if you’d like to indulge…We made a reservation for 4, arriving in time. You have to use this brass ring to knock on the door to get someone from this place to know you’ve arrived. It took us several times to get a response, and they weren’t even ready for us. They sent us to the bar next door to wait, claiming their bar was currently full and they’d seat us soon, which was a lie. We got up there, and there weren’t many people there at all. They let us in, taking us up this staircase to a random spot up top with zero direction of where to go. One way was the kitchen, another was these curtains. I get blown past by some rude waitress, who blazes through the curtains, so I assumed behind there is where the seating was. We stand waiting and I walk through the curtains to see if anyone could tell us where to go, and Ms. Rude Waitress tells us to wait behind the curtains. We wait another 10 mins and are finally seated. Our waiter takes forever to come by and ask what we want to drink with little understanding of the menu. We order and wait a solid hour for our drinks, and not every table was taken up in the place. The drinks were creative but overpowered with so much sugar, I felt they were all a dessert.Oh, can’t forget Ms. Rude Waitress blazing past us the whole time, clearly wishing she was anywhere else in the world. If you want a high-end cocktail lounge experience, this place isn’t worth the wait. ???
Food was good, but way overpriced for what it was. Steak was cooked perfectly, although completely unseasoned. Bronzini was a little on the fishy side. Our server was extremely cold and unwelcoming. She also seemed very perturbed that we weren't drinking alcohol. Servers also stand at the table while you pay and enter the tip - very tacky for a place of this nature. The atmosphere was great though, as was the mushroom flatbread appetizer.
We were looking for something new/ different in Lancaster and found this place. It is a niche kind of bar. Very nice atmosphere and bartenders are great! I’m not a gin guy but the place is definitely a nice place to go and have the ability to talk to anyone.
Great service awesome environment. Ben's cocktails are amazing always a good night
I have never met such a friendly and knowledgeable staff. You could feel that all the employees absolutely loved their jobs and were thrilled to be a part of it. From ingredient to glass and conversation to friend. It truly was a unique trip told through the story of cocktails.
Such an incredible weekend! We came to Lancaster to celebrate our 5th anniversary and left with some great new friends! We can't thank David, Ben (and the rest of the crew) enough for their amazing hospitality and food suggestions! You can tell how much love and care they put into making this bar into the extraordinary atmosphere it is today! We can't wait to come back and visit in April!
They have the best cocktails and wonderful service.
