We had visited this location on a whim July 25 '21. It is located in such a quiet area of Lancaster City I would've never thought to look there for a restaurant. My husband and I wanted a quiet place for brunch and this worked out perfect! The staff was amazing, the food was bursting with flavor and the presentation of the food was awesome as well! Shown in the pictures are the salted maple lattes, loaded avocado toast and chicken and waffles. I recommend this for anyone who enjoys supporting local family owned business where the food is impeccable!

Chef Kolbe really delivered his culinary love this Valentines Day ❤️ weekend. Today , I ordered his version of Shakshuka which many feel originates from Tunisia. Enjoying it brought back memories of dining in the old city of Jerusalem where I last enjoyed this dish. It's a simple combination of simmering tomatoes, onions, garlic, spices and gently poached eggs and was served with “ everything “ focaccia bread.Legendary to say the least or رائع !I also added grilled turkey sausage to accompany this flavorful meal .As always, my server Heidi delivered her bottomless cup of “Necessary” coffee.Commonwealth - stop by to enjoy the food, the vibe , the music and the ❤️ .Check it out !

Cute place. Nice service. Very tasty food. I was a glutton and ordered two brunch dishes but I think a normal person would enjoy one dish.

We love this spot in our neighborhood! The food is amazing (I dream about the JB) and we’ve felt very comfortable there through the pandemic. We appreciate the flexibility to get takeout/delivery or eat outside, even in the colder months, and the owners and staff are fantastic. This is one of our favorite places to bring out-of-town guests for brunch because they’re very accommodating of allergies and different dietary needs.

As an experienced local guide with over 2000 views on my reviews of local establishments. I can tell you commonwealth kitchen is run by great people with the safety of the guests in mind. Running a business during a pandemic is hard but running a successful restaurant during a pandemic is an absolute miracle. Enjoy the good vegan treats and regular menu items. Remember we are all in this together and if you can't wrap your head around that then stay home and cook for yourself.

This place is wonderful, from the owners to the staff to the drinks and food ❤️ can't go wrong with anything you order! I love that they buy local and work with lots of local small farms for the ingredients. It's so comforting that I was asked for my vax card too! I was able to enjoy everything without the weird feelings and thoughts of wearing a mask. I really think the fact they are asking shows how much they care about the staff and customers. Thanks for everything you all do!!!

Extremely grateful that businesses and restaurants like Commenwealth Kitchen are committed to doing it right. I can't say how much I appreciate their safety measures and protocols, especially as a mother of a little one who can't be vaccinated yet. Speaks volumes to have a staff, management, and ownership who care about each other and their patrons, and it shows. Excellent menu to boot! Definitely recommend when you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!

We love commonwealth cafe! We visit every time we are in Lancaster. One of our favorite brunch places we have ever been to. The lattes are fantastic and the food is always so fresh and tasty. The service is always great and we loved how safe it felt during the pandemic.

We had a girls’ Sunday brunch and the service (both pleasant and not intrusive) and food couldn’t have been more delightful! The coffee cake was AMAZING! All three of us inevitably chose the same menu item, avocado toast with an egg-yum! This worked out well, because none of us wanted to share! I usually take pics of my food but forgot to this time because I was too busy enjoying it. We also all remarked how desirable the view was with sunlight cascading in through the magnificent new window installation. Cheers to this neighborhood gem!

I was there today and was glad to they require proof of vaccinations. On top of great food and service, they are practicing safety. Thank you !
