We finally made it. The burger was so juicy and huge. The Irish stew was great. Felt safe and socially distanced. Server was friendly. Food was a little slow but it was a nice place to be sitting. Has outdoor seating.
This was a perk from the pandemic: finding new places through the save our restaurants campaign. Wooly’s does burgers, maybe a sandwich or two. We had the Wooly burger (bacon, sautéed onions), the mushroom Swiss burger and a regular lettuce onion tomato cheeseburger. They were DELICIOUS. The loaded fries not so great otherwise I would have given it a 5. Definitely go for burgers!

My husband and I stopped here JUST for the burgers. They are some of the best in town, juicy and probably big enough for two. They are only open on an extended weekend schedule so you have to be aware of that, fair enough if you know you won’t have enough business to keep open the rest of the week. Down side-the bartender was a younger girl who was in no rush to do anything. Take anyone’s order, turn down the music when the open mic people were ready, take our card to cash out. Just very blah. The last bartender we had there was personable and great to be around. We’ll probably try it one more time just to see if it was an off night.

We were looking for a new place to try. I found Wollys and read that their burgers were very good, which certainly turned out to be true. Very flavourful and juicy. Excellent homemade chips. Service was great. The bar tender at the time, who is the owners daughter, shared some of her loaded fries with us before our food came out. We met the owners and were able to chat with them for a while. Very nice folks. I will definitely be back...
