I come from New Jersey/New York--Reuben sandwich country--and this is one of the best I have had anywhere. The rye bread, of course, is the highlight. It's not easy to find bread that good no matter where you are. Everything else was great too--the iced tea, the potato salad, and, of course, the gob. Ryan himself was there and was an excellent host. Can't wait to try the bagels (but they sell out quick!)
not only is the food spectacular, but the service is absolutely phenomenal. every time i stop down for a bagel or a drink, i feel like i’ve been going there for a lifetime. on top of that, everything i’ve eaten from there has been magnificent!
Some of the best dang pizza I ever had, and I’m a pizza connoisseur ?? Very polite staff, some great customer service! 10/10 recommend!!

Had a everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was amazing and very generous amount of cream cheese. We got a pizza and cinnamon roll to go and they were also amazing!!
I picked up soup and cinnamon rolls to take home today. The staff was so friendly. I'll definitely have to come back to dine in! The soup was full of fresh vegetables and clearly homemade. The cinnamon rolls were so soft and delicious. It was the perfect rainy day meal. I'll be back.
Great tasting breakfast sandwich with coffee. Wonderful staff. Took homemade rye bread home had great toasted cheese. Sunday morning enjoying bagels for breakfast.
I tried Ryan's for the first time this morning 3/23/22 .I had been seeing the Cafe on Facebook and thought it should be tried out. I got a breakfast bagel and a cinnamon roll and a cup of coffee . Brought it home 10 minutes away and the bagel was terrible. I tried to cut it in half and the serrated knife wouldn't cut it. I tried to take a bite and I had to fight it with my teeth. The cinnamon roll was quite stale and I couldn't cut it either. I suppose I won't go there for any thing made of dough .the coffee was great
Great place to enjoy a nice morning coffee. They have excellent Cinnamon rolls and have a wide variety of coffee flavors including Butter beer which I thought was quite novel. They have lots of baked goods, salads, and sandwiches. I look forward to trying some of those and sharing in a later update. The Cinnamon roll I had was slightly crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey cinnamon on the inside with a really nice frosting. It was not too sweet, but perfectly balanced for a nice pickup in the morning. The Staff was friendly and the food was delivered to my table for me and served on a beautifully styled plate. The whole coffee shop is very well decorated with lots of solid chairs and tables. The coffee shop is super inviting for a morning breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break. Lots of stuff to look at and talk about with friends visiting with you to spark up conversation! Thank you for a great visit and a nice start to my day!
This is a star in Johnstown. Between the service and the homemade bakery items paired with farm fresh ingredients it's a home run. Breakfast, lunch or quick stop this is the place to go. You can tell every item is made with love. They care about every customer whether a regular or a passerby with a precocious little guy. If you live in and around Johnstown or just rolling through make the stop, you won't regret it.
