I use to go here alot when I was a child and it was great. The last few times me and my family have gone have been terrible. Not only are the bathroom gross. Also the games are broke. The food is awful. Very very awful. Our blooming onion wasn't breaded or cook for long. Salad was just a bowl of cheese. Had to take most of the chicken off. In the end I couldn't even eat it because it was literally just a bowl of cheese. Pizza was good and Waitress was great. Do not intend on returning
I never would've come here had I known anything about this place prior to going. Everything was extremely bland or overly sweet, even things such as garlic dough tasted like a dessert more than an appetizer. And to top it all of the silverware we were given was still dirty, not just a smudge there was chunks of food on it. One star feels like too much.
From an out-of-towner's perspective, there was nothing from the outside of this restaurant to seduce us to visiting here, but it also seemed like the antidote for a chain restaurant, and that was why we gave it a try. Talk about a smart choice. Four stars instead of five, only because it feels dated, and dark inside, and may need a good polishing. On the other hand, Leah, our server was friendly and engaging, the food was quite good, and you could not beat the prices. Dinner for 2, a 1/2 pound cheeseburger, and a rib-eye sandwich, both with fries and a drink for only $24. There is an arcade in the back, which we didn't check out. It was a good spot on the busy Route 56, if you're trying to get out of Johnstown. If we ever get back that way, we'll probably visit again.
Family and I were looking for a small restaurant that had a cheap menu and good food. Pappy's was the first place that caught our eye. They seemed to have decent prices and good looking food. When we entered there was a foul smell in the entrance (it smelled like Chucky Cheese ?.) Bad start already. The place was disgusting. It needed a serious deep clean. Crumbs and filth everywhere! Pappy's Fun Zone was across from us, the floors were covered in dirty footprints and none of the game machines seemed fun. The bathrooms were a mess, no toilet paper and a gaping hole in the ceiling. The children were terrified. Soap smelled nice. This establishment was so unrefined for my pallete. Food gave us diarrhea and clogged toilet. Sorry Pappy, but family and I won't be returning. ?
The restaurant was so dirty, ceiling was leaking, wiring sticking out from missing ceiling tiles. The owner was putting parmesan on top of the food with his bare hands after taking phone calls, touching money and wiping sweat from his face, it was disgusting! Other customers around us were commenting on the same things and that they too, will never eat there again. Our server was new, but she was very good. Health Inspector needs to visit this place for the public's health safety.
This place has gone down hill. My family and I used to come here very often. We haven't been here in months and coming here today was a big disappointment. We ordered a picture of orange crush ( which didn't taste right, as if the machine was maybe dirty or something), we then ordered their wing and pizza special (the wings were gross, very fatty wings with no flavor), the pizza was good. We also each ordered a smaller stromboli, the size was very good however 2/5 of the strombolis were a mess. I had ordered a bbq chicken stromboli with no onion, I had told the waitress twice no onion, she even wrote it down (in no way am I saying this her fault), I get the stromboli and it has like 3 pieces of chicken and Xtra onion lol, it also had a crazy amount of sauce.My sister ordered a taco stromboli and it was 90% lettuce lol.The women next to us has a hair in her food.
Usually the food is good. My son ordered a pizza and it barely had sauce. The only part of the pizza that had sauce was around the crust. I was offered marinara sauce to dip it in. I won't be going back.
Pizza was very good and a lot of toppings. Love that it was half price on Tuesday.
It was a great visit on a Tuesday afternoon. Great service and even better Pizza.
We had Stromboli's, and they were Awesome, we love their pizza and fried dough as well, Good Job ?
