We eat here somewhat often. It's a great place for drinks - I love the rotating sangria/drink flavors. Apps are great and food is normal tavern flair. Always look at the specials - my favorite has been the pear sacchetti with walnut cream sauce. Get dessert! Cinnamon rolls, funnel cake fries... great for a night out. Kelly is usually our server and she is awesome. More staff is definitely needed, but that's the norm. Also.. charcuterie! Great for takeout, but just as good for dining in.

There have been a number of changes at FSB&G since my last review, 8 years ago - ALL for the better. The establishment is still owned by the same family, but is now in the hands of a true gourmet chef. And it's evolved into one of Johnstown's premier dining spots. HAND'S DOWN, it's the best burger in Johnstown, and one of the Top-5 I've ever eaten - with the Philly Cheesesteak ranking nearly as high. Soups are now a specialty, and the Lobster Bisque is second to none. EVERYTHING we've had has been delicious and beautifully presented. Sunday morning "BREAKFAST" (and Brunch) between 9am & 2pm, has become so popular, reservations are required. THIS is one of those hidden gems even some of the locals haven't discovered - but the word is getting out. Hours can be a little "iffy" due to staffing shortages.
