Great service, great food, I will be back For more

** I would give this experience and honest 5/5 however they were lax on COVID protocols ** Unexpectedly awesome. Large portions priced well and delicious. The meal was excellent 5/5 on the fish tacos , cowboy steak, sweet potato fries & desserts (go with the apple crisp!) We are in an igloo and the experience was one of the best my family has had in a long time - beautifully decorated, heated and LED lights for ambiance. COVID PROTOCOLS: the waitress wore her mask underneath her nose - only covering her mouth. We kindly gave her a disposable mask and asked her to put it on and she declined citing management only allows black masks as part of the uniform. Frankly, I was horrified she would not comply with our request. The inside (we had to use the bathroom) was full. Lots of people tables closer together than I’ve seen at most places . If we return we will get takeout and remain safe .

We made lunch reservations for yesterday (a Saturday) at 1:30pm. We live about 45 minutes from the Clarks Summit area. We ordered a cup of the herbivore soup of the day and a cup of the French onion soup. Both soups were great and the portion was perfect. Then we ordered the vegan tacos and the special dish tacos of the day. My boyfriend raved about the fish tacos. The vegan tacos were just ok. They were slightly boring and I didn't love the flavor. We didn't realize the brunch menu would be so small. We normally like to have dinner at this restaurant so this was our first time having brunch. We also each had a side of fries, two winter sangrias (really tasty) and two different draft beers. We spent $67.30 before tip. The parking for this restaurant can be an issue, especially if there is an event happening downtown. They don't have a dedicated parking lot so you have to find on street parking. When we called for the reservation we were told 12:30pm was the only opening. So we checked our schedule before confirming and called right back. We were then told there was never a 12:30pm and there was only a 1:30pm, which was fine, but the guy who answered the phone seemed genuinely confused. When we arrived, the two girls at the hostess stand kept going back and forth as to where to seat us and discussing what tables were waiting to get their bills. We stood there for a good 15 minutes as other people came in and were immediately seated. We ended up being seated in their back room, which is a little sterile feeling and not romantic and nice like the front room. That was a little disappointing. It's also a distance to the restroom if you're seated in that area. Our server, Lizzy was great, but the front of house needs better training from answering the phone to take reservations and then seating patrons as they arrive. We'll definitely go back sometime because they have some great mixed drinks and always have some vegan/vegetarian options. Hopefully it's a better experience though.

there was quick and friendly service.

Plenty of outdoor seating, just call in advance for a table. Drinks were well poured and the service was good. The menu has a lot of small plate choices and they usually have a few 'features" that r worth listening too. I had the meatloaf special and I finished it all. Mashed potatoes on the side with a veggie. Overall, a pleasant night put. It's an expensive place.

It’s unfortunate to see so many negative reviews popping up. I’m not a local and was passing through Clark’s Summit on my way from Harrisburg to New York and decided to grab something to eat. Due to COVID-19, I had to order to-go and it was ready in 25 mins. I had the SSG Burger and my girlfriend had the Margarita Flatbread. We thoroughly enjoyed both. The waitress who brought out our food was very pleasant and overall we have nothing but great things to say. Hopefully the SSG can start earning more great reviews and turn things around because we’d love to stop here again as we are often traveling to and from PA and NY. Don’t buy into the negativity and give them a shot yourself. It looks beautiful inside, so hopefully next time we can sit to eat.

Great atmosphere. This is the review I left a yr ago when we dined there. This week was my birthday and my wife ordered 4 meals to be picked up at the curbside. First of all when she placed the order on the phone she asked twice if any sides come with the meal & the waitress told her no, in spite of getting a side salad with each meal! Secondly, she when came home with the 4 meals we had to throw them in the garbage and make omelet because they were "fully burned" not just well done, the food was not edible, not safe to eat, CARBON! See the photos. I called 3 times over the past few days asking for the owner to call me back but he didn't even care. So I feel I have to now leave this review hoping that he'll see it here cuz he never returned my calls. A terrible experience on my BD.

Fish tacos cold, soup lukewarm, noisy, and not cheap. It used to be so much better, but during our last two visits the quality is just not there.

Don't even bother making a reservation here, you'll show up and it will be no where in their records. This happened to us for the SECOND time this past weekend. 8 of my girlfriends and I made reservations for an igloo in December, even had the confirmation email from opentable showing we reserved the igloo... got there and they overbooked the igloos so we never got one. Had reservations for brunch for the igloo for 8 of my friends this past weekend, called and spoke to them to make the reservation this time and explained what happened last time so they ASSURED me I would have the igloo this time. Showed up and no record that I even had called to make a reservation. Management was nice through the whole thing but that does not excuse the lack of management skills and professionalism for this to happen TWICE to the same people. Not to mention both times at least 4 people in our party left with terrible stomach aches and got sick to our stomachs all night once we got home. Needless to say we will not be back here for both the lack of organization and poor quality of food.

My boyfriend and I visited yesterday after seeing their posts about their igloos on instagram. The food was great, I had the margarita flatbread and my boyfriend had the SSG burger. Both were delicious, fries were great and drinks were strong and tasty. You have to call to make a reservation and I did so but they weren’t open at noon when i called so it directs you to online where you can also make a reservation. To sit in the igloos you need a reservation and they are family style as each igloo sits 8. We joined a couple who were great company and had a great dinner and time. The igloos are a great temperature for what feels like you’re eating outside and they have blankets in case you’re cold. Everything was great, super affordable and we would visit again!
