The menu is limited. If you love Italian pasta, you will enjoy this small restaurant short distance from the state capitol complex.I didn't see alcohol on the menu but our next table had a bottle of wine (BYOB??). It would be nicer if wine is offered. I had San pellegrino sparkling drink - sans alcohol.

Staff seemed a little disorganized. Came for dinner and maybe it's more of a lunch place. Take out orders seemed to be the focus. Our server didn't know much about the menu or ingredients on dishes. They were nice enough. My wife had the Bucatini and loved it. I tried the Chicken Bugogi Mac and all I tasted was salt, salt, and more salt. Drank all my water and all of my wife's. Maybe it was a mistake. I would give it another shot but would probably just order to go.

I’ve been to Italy twice and compare every Italian meal to that experience. If that is what you are seeking, this place is top notch. Fresh ingredients, simple, and leaves you feeling full and satisfied and not over indulged. American food has a way of overcompensating for being lack luster but pastorante doesn’t disappoint if you’re seeking an authentic experience. Also, if chef is working he cooks me carbonara which is absolute perfection!

My mother's side of the family is Italian. So I grew up eating great actually homemade pasta. In my adult life - I've studied how to cook Italian food from some of the best Michelin stared chefs in Italy (on youtube and Master Class) such as Massimo Buttura and Luciano Monosilio. I know what good pasta tastes like. I know how hard it is to make - it is almost impossible to make well. Good pasta does exist here in Central PA. When I saw a place offering homemade pasta - I figured they were lying. When I walked into the place - I was even further discouraged. Nobody sells homemade pasta for 10 dollars a dish. It's too hard - its too much work. The menu - it didn't even make sense. It was like Italian Korean fusion? Who does that.I couldn't have been more wrong. When I tasted this pasta I realized that I could cook the rest of my life and never make food that tastes this good. This place not only has the best pasta I ever tasted - it might be the best Restaurant in central pa. They deserve a michelin star. I cannot believe this place is only a 4.6 rating. They could easily charge 2-3 times as much and I'd pay it. Try the Chicken Bulogi Mac and Cheese. Please go to this restaurant - I want them to be wildly successful.

Can’t believe it took us so long to get here! Ordered the meat lasagna and their special of the day which was shrimp with asparagus in a sun dried tomato pesto sauce. WOW for both dishes. The fresh pasta is so soft, the sauces so fresh, and the sausage in the lasagna had a mild smokiness that was delicious. Finished off with tiramisu, which was done right. We will return soon to try the ox tail ragu!

Amazing food. I don’t like to eat pasta anywhere else now as it doesn’t seem as good and fairly bland compared to this. Always make a date night with my wife for Valentine’s Day here.

Oh I absolutely love the Italian food. There’s really nothing better on a Friday night with my date, being my wife. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

So we were recommended to come here and we’re glad we did!! The staff was very nice and informative and helpful and friendly! All of our dinners were scrumptious! The homemade sauce and pasta are sooo good!! And the desserts were yummy!!

Food was good…..service was HORRIBLE. Asked for a glass of ice, was told “no” my server would have to get it for me. Only go if you have a lot, and I mean A LOT of time!

We had the best meal anyone could ever hope for. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was great. Excellent homemade pasta, clam sauce done perfectly and delicious shrimp. We had never had squid ink fettuccine and were not disappointed. We were on a roll so we opted for desert. We had tiramisu and I can only say I'm glad I had it before because if this was the first time I had it I would be forever disappointed when I had it again. It will be hard to pass through Harrisburg without stopping.
