First off, when I walked into the place, the only conversation I heard was people talking about how good the food is. The price for the quality and portions is unmatched. I high recommend the haddock.Also, the service is grace A+. It's rare to find a man who is that passionate about his craft. His hospitality and quality of food reminds me of my family down south.This the best fish house in Harrisburg...undisputed.
First time trying this place. I ordered the flounder and the haddock. Both come out crispy and crunchy just the way I like it. Not greasy at all. Very flavorful. I also ordered the shrimp which was served to me piping hot and crispy. Soo delicious. The hand cut fries are huge and tasty. The potato salad has a really nice flavor. Everything I ordered was made fresh and to order and tasty. I will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this place. My only regret is I didn’t any pictures because I dug right in and before I knew it it was gone.
Went to Odie’s on a Saturday evening. The place was busy and Odin was welcoming and visited with everyone. As new customers, we were offered tastes of various things which I found really nice. Our fish came out piping hot and we had the option of several hot sauces which was great—two were tasty and a bit spicy and the last one was really spicy. The carrot cake with nuts was fantastic. I love this place and will return, but expect ambience and character, not speed.
Customer service was impeccable! The owner is friendly, and makes his customers feel comfortable and at ease! Prices are affordable and the food is so so good!
First time in was yesterday and I would definitely return! Although they were very busy on a Friday night, the owner was friendly and personable, and chatted a bit with each customer that came through the door. My 9 year old kept asking him questions but he didn't even seem bothered by it! He allows new customers to sample sides during non peak hours/if they are not busy so that you know exactly what you are getting. I ordered a variety of items; the only two that I did not care for was the macaroni and cheese (a little dry for my taste) and the crab cake. I like a broiled crab cake (this only comes fried) and a little more seasoning, but that is simply personal preference. Everything else was delicious, including the hummingbird cake which tasted like a banana walnut cake that my mom used to make ? They also have homemade lemonades in different flavors that I believe are made by his children or grandchildren that taste pretty good. I wish I was able to call the order in beforehand to lessen the wait time, but every time I called the line was busy. Won't stop me from coming back though!

Oh my!My wife found this place on a Friday in Lent. I had just said to get pizza shop fish sandwiches. Boy am I glad she didn't listenThe haddock was perfectly cooked and the sides were to die for.Collards and cabbage was out of this world and the yams were seriously one of the best things I ever ate.Price was reasonable.Go there! Get fish!
I stopped in for the first time on my lunch break today. The service was welcoming and I even got a free sample of the sides without even asking. I enjoyed the friendliness of the cooks. The food was good and I liked that the fish wasn't greasy or overly seasoned. This is by far one of the best of the local soul food establishments. The atmosphere was a little dim and gloomy so don't judge by the looks but only by the taste. I defiantly will be returning again.
I will say that O.D. the owner and the cook D'Angelo handled their business exceptionally well. I had the Haddock with a side of collard greens & cabbage mixed with no meat seasoned, also a side of the candy yams. The fish was so good I wish I had gotten two, but I did get two desserts, a slice of hummingbird cake and a slice of sweet potato pie....too delicious. Of course I washed it all down with the peach lemonade drink created by 2 young sisters that are destined for greatness making lemonade like that.
Do yourself a favor and visit OD’s The service is unmatched. He truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything i tasted melted in my mouth. Absolutely the best meal I had while in Harrisburg. Highly recommend!
