Growing up in philly sandwiches are a really big deal for me so my expectations are high. This spot was impressive! I Had the New Yorker. Pastrami, cornbeef, swiss and spicy mustard on marble rye just fantastic! The potatoe salad has a little egg in it if your into it I loved it!
Sorry to say, I'm taking my previous 5 star review down to a 2 star review....Has this location changed owners already? I loved McAllisters when it first opened. The food was great and I liked being able to order my own food and have it brought to my table. The biggest selling point was that since I was not interacting with a waitstaff, tipping was not expected when paying with my order. However, now the app has changed and tipping is now expected BEFORE I even see a person or get my food. I left a generous tip and received the worst meal we've had since this location opened. I do understand that tipping is not required, but when it is on the receipt for the staff to see before I even get my food, it feels like an obligation. Also, while we were trying to eat, one of the owners/managers was sitting at a rear table and was berating every single employee that was called out to his table. He then went to the front where the kitchen/cashiers are and was berating the team in front of the entire restaurant. This was extremely unprofessional and unpleasant to witness. We used to eat at this location once a week when we ran our errands, however it will be a long time until I visit again. I have encouraged so many of my friends and family to stop in at this great new restaurant, I will not be telling anyone else to go.** I am NOT opposed to tipping. However, it was presented as a progressive move forward that this restaurant paid their staff a fair wage not stipulant on tips. I highly object to tip requests being presented before I even see my food or talk to a person.
My dad and I had lunch in McAlister's Deli, the staff was nice and the place was clean.My dad had the McAlister club sandwich with mac and cheese on the side and I had the Sweet Chipotle chicken sandwich with mac and cheese on the side as well.Our sandwiches were good I liked the sweet chipotle sauce in my sandwich but the chicken was a bit dry yet it still was good, the mac and cheese on the other hand was lacking in taste, it was slightly mushy and cold.This deli is okay none the less it's just not to our liking.
Was next store at good year tire and got hungry!This place was packed, a bunch of tables and 90% of them were filled at 1 o’clock on a Wednesday. Large menu with a lot of options!Ordered 2 $8.99 pick twos. Not pictured but the chicken Caesar salad wrap was delicious.If you ever order take out they only give you one small pack of butter make sure you ask for extra if you need more.
Very interesting/innovative menu items, I enjoyed my jalapeño turkey crunch sandwich. Easy to miss driving by. Quick friendly service. I will be back to try other items on the menu!
Ordered 2 meals off door dash. Salad is fine but ordered the kid grilled cheese. It is inedible, hard. Could literally only eat the bite out of the middle and they forgot the cookie
Seems like the meat on the Reuben was either ham or it was corned beef that tasted like ham, but either way it was a so-so sandwich. Potato salad tastes like it came out of a drum. The iced tea is good.

We stopped here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. I had been to a McAlister's Deli years ago in Virginia. It was our favorite place when we would visit our son in college. Needless to say, we were so thrilled when they opened one in Harrisburg. The food is delicious and perfect portions. I had the choose two and did the caesar salad and the spicy turkey melt. All I can say is yummy! The service was excellent as our meals were delivered to our table in less than ten minutes. The staff were very helpful, personable and efficient. The restaurant itself is set up that pretty much every table has a window view. You can't go wrong.
Great spot. I thought this was going to be another 'deli' that we really didn't need but I was wrong. Really enjoy the variety of sandwiches they order. I have tried 4 different ones so far, liked them all. Highly recommend the chicken cranberry orange club and the spuds. Well done McAlister's
