I love this place. It’s professional, reasonable, and most of all homely. The owner treats you with kindness and her food speaks for itself. She knows how to run her establishment exceptionally well. This has to be one of the best African restaurants in HBG. She Sabi cook mehn! (Translated - She cooks sooo well!)
I ordered eggs and fufu. The beef in the soup was so tough I had to remove it and cook it for an additional hour. The remaining food was good and spicy.
Biggest highlight was the impeccable customer service from the young men, quantity and quality of food for the low price.
My friend always bragged about how good the food was so I gave it a try. The fish didn’t taste or look fresh I can definitely tell it was cooked already but just heated up. The jollof rice had a burnt taste like they scooped it from the bottoms of the pot. She did tell me she was out of almost everything so maybe I came at a bad hour.I don’t know. I asked for gravy on the rice she could of held the big bones from where ever dish she took the gravy from since it was a fish dinner I had ! And the shrimp based hot sauce I thought will make the taste somewhat better NOPE. I will like to give them one more try,we’ll see.
