First time trying. The service was excellent and the jerk chicken bowl was ?. Very generous portion!Beef patty was so so, probably wouldn’t order again. I’m excited to try the oxtail next .
A tiny little Caribbean place inside a Sunoco gas station, you wouldn't think it would be a great place for eats. But I was pleasantly surprised! The curry chicken bowl is flavorful, slightly spicy, and the chicken just falls off the bone. For the price you get a decently sized portion. The service is quick, and the folks running the counter are very sweet older gentlemen who clearly know what they're doing with their cooking. Some of the best Caribbean food you can have at a gas station let alone anywhere. I'll be back for sure!
Curry bowl was mostly rice, barely any chicken and too expensive. The flavor was decent though
We don't usually frequent this area but had to drop off clothes to Salvation Army. We used to live in DC area with many diverse choices. We are sick of Harrisburg diner food, pizza, Arby's and McDonald's and was going to get kabobs from Lahori down the road, but we Googled " food near me" and found this gem.Food is in big portions. I ate half my burrito for lunch and other half will be dinner. Same for husband and his jerk chicken bowl. 13 yo son can't stop eating so he finished his bowl!The food was good and spicy. My burrito had nice touch of sweetness in the sauce and creamy texture of guacamole.We will be back. The chef also had on mask so sanitary environment.
Friendly service, flavorful food, and generous portions.Would you get the plantains and curry shrimp again. Might get the potatoes on the side next time.
This is CHEF KEELS 4 DA PEOPLE @ YOUTUBE.COM, I had the pleasure of stopping into this fine Caribbean eatery today. I was not disappointed! The owner and his family were so inviting and confident of the quality of food they put out. I got home and laid out all the food I bought with my wife joining me. we both was transported to an island grill in an island resort. my hat goes off to you sir. I highly recommend everybody, and all of my viewers to stop in and enjoy what they have to offer. GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA...
Great food. Very friendly customer service. My husband and I are regulars. The only issue we’ve ever had was our order being incorrect at times. Examples are, strips too small/ not tossed with the sauce/ over cooked. This isn’t always but, it has happened. There hasn’t been enough mistakes to keep us away and the cooks are always willing to refund or remake items.
Pretty unassuming location, and had it not been for the many glowing reviews, I probably wouldn't have given it a shot. But I'm so so SO happy I did! I'm traveling for work, and I always try to get food I can't find at home. Seriously considering ordering again tomorrow on my last night here in town.Food was, quite simply, amazing!Beef patty was hot, crispy, tender and delicious, all at the same time.Jerk Chicken Bowl was on another level. SO. MUCH. FLAVOR. I mean, the rice and peas with the coconut notes? Wow. And that chicken. I can't even begin to describe the chicken. So divine, and OMG SO SPICY, but in that "this is so hot and awesome I can't stop eating it" kind of way.If you haven't tried this place yet, what are you waiting for?
Yah mon... glad I stopped by. Order a couple of beef patties and a small order of the pineapple calypso wings. The patties are so good and spicy ? and the wings are packed with flavors. Look forward to exploring the menu in the coming future....
Great food! Chicken has some kick, but it’s super flavorful. Glad I tried this place!
