Let me tell you, we had a not so pleasant experience at an Airbnb, so when we got to Front Street Diner in the morning…it was exactly what we needed! The whole experience was amazing! We were seated quickly…our waitress was fantabulous, the food came out quickly and was so good! We loved how our waitress got our sense of humor and played along with us! Mentally and emotionally…it really was what we needed to get our spirits back on high!
I had breakfast with a friend I hadn't seen for almost 50 years, when our server (Ashley) found this out...she said take as long as you like. Great server, checked on us MANY times.The reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 was the "home fries" were just like sliced, boiled potatoes?!
A buddy of mine and I ate at the front street diner lately. It is a no frills great place to get a simple meal. I had broiled crab cakes and my friend had fried flounder. I guess I should have known better than to order seafood so far inland! But actually, it wasn't too bad. The meals came with two sides and a salad and rolls. Lots of food for a very reasonable price. I noticed that this place serves breakfast all day. The service was adequate.
Good food, friendly staff, fast service. Place was packed at 8AM on a Saturday. Got the last open table and expected to wait for the food - eggs Benedict and French toast meals came out in 15 minutes and done perfectly. Grabbed some cinnamon rolls to go on my way out too. Will be coming back here again!
Delicious...especially their chicken rice soup and desserts. The staff worked hard to make sure we were taken care of. Tables were spaced nicely so that we did not feel crowded. An overall good experience.
A fabulous place to eat in Harrisburg. The only problem is if you don't have a car it's very difficult to visit! Delicious breakfast (served all day), lunch, and dinner. Italian, Greek, seafood, Pennsylvania Dutch always on the menu. Used to be open 24/7, but one of the victims of COVID. It's like Harrisburg used to be in the 60's and 70's. You almost forget you're in Harrisburg in 2022. Plenty of free safe parking.
Stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Place was pretty full but we got sat within 5 minutes. Coffee was fresh, our waitress was very quick and super nice. Everything came out super fast and was so good and fresh. It feels we waited to be sat longer than it took for our food to come out. Absolutely amazing breakfast, cheapest and tastiest breakfast we’ve had in a long time. I cannot wait to stop by for dinner.
I figured I would call place my order...well called a guy told me I will get someone to take your order 10 maybe 8 minutes later, I hung up and drove there thinking they must be busy since no one came to get order. Nope not even half of the restaurant is full, ordered my food was offered a drink while I wait, received food in maybe 12 minutes. Paid, left, got home they had forgotten to put chocolate chips in my wife pancakes that she had ordered, she was not happy neither was my 5yr old that usually eats one of her chocolate chip pancakes. Waitress was nice, guy behind counter was nice, restaurant was clean.
This was the first time there and the food was excellent! I will definitely be going back again.
We stopped here because it was close to the hotel, sure glad we did. The service was awesome, the food was well prepared and hit the table fast.
