Great service! Great food! Chill atmosphere with good music! I had the catfish special with collard greens and mac and cheese. I was not disappointed and did not need any seasonings, not even hot sauce, which I love!I took some seafood gumbo to go and I was not as impressed. I all just tasted like Slack Ya Mama seasoning which is overbearing and I do not like that seasoning in general. However, everyone was super friendly and I would definitely go back!
Loaded fries are $8.99 but don't include any toppings?? So basically they are just fries for $8.99??!! They charged a total of $23.00 for some loaded fries $6.99 for a tiny macaroni and cheese which had good reviews but it was dried out and greasy with no flavor. I believe in supporting small business but this is shameful!!
The food and service here is excellent. I had the fried wing dinner with Mac and cheese and greens. Hubby had pork chops with mash potatoes and gravy and corn. Sister has this salad that wasn’t even on the menu with crab salad and shrimp. Just plain amazing. Son are all his food. The two sliders and Mac and cheese. I’m telling you. This gem needs more attention. So so so good! Support this black owned business.
Friday night looking for a place to eat with the fam. We came across this place while surfing the web and decided to try. There is ample parking outside. When you enter the interior finishes are nice. We dined in and selected out own table. The server was very hospitable and friendly during our entire stay. We ordered our beverages right away and made decisions about our meals. I went with the pork chops, yams, and mac& cheese. My daughter the fried wings, mac & cheese, and yams. My wife had the buffalo wings and some potato salad and greens. We enjoyed our hot, fresh meals. We have eaten at many Soul Food places, from NJ to DC, and this is one of our favorites. My wife commented on the cleanliness of the restaurant. The portions are generous. Give it a try!!!
It does not get any closer to home cooking than this. The food was outstanding and fresh. The fried chicken, the mac & cheese, the cornbread, and the massive desserts were all standouts. The service was great. It's a family run business and in addition to their culinary excellence they were soooo kind and friendly. They put their hearts into the place and it shows. Feed Your Soul is an instant favorite.
was looking to expand my culinary horizons and stumbled upon feed your soul restaurant. My expectations were met and then some. The food was absolutely amazing. some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life. The service was attentive but not overbearing. if you have a chance to try their mac and cheese you won't be disappointed. I would highly recommend and I'm planning going back again
Last week Friday, after my appt on the westshore. I google catfish dinner near me and a couple places in Harrisburg showed up. One closed, and the other one I drove passed trying to park and I notice another restaurant. Feed your Soul, went in and the food was so awesome I ordered another dinner to go and gave a $20 tip. Returned on Monday ate in awesome food again so I ordered another dinner to go and gave another $20 tip. Please support our black own restaurant especially when service and food is excellent. After tasting the great food at Feed Your Soul, i took the ride back there again from York because of how good their food is. Honestly the best soul food I've had in a very long time! Even the second time going there the food was consistently great and flavorful. I've tried the catfish, wings, shrimp, crabcake & the strawberry strawberry cake; every single dish was right on point! I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant.
Hello this post is from Mr. Bill,So hands-down this place is like having dinner like mom made it and now there’s this lady there they called her Goldie, now I don’t know if she’s from Louisiana or not but the staff is really nice the food is 100% now I’ve had Christmas dinner there I’ve had Thanksgiving dinner there and now I’m trying to get New Year’s Eve dinner there they run specials all the time and they do stuff for kids and families I don’t have anything. I’ve noticed some of their posts on Facebook if you haven’t come to Harrisburg near the Harrisburg east mall I would say right beside the sheets you’re missing it all I’m gonna say is five stars ***** and Mr. bill will be back.Happy New Year’s 2022.
My 1st time going to this restaurant the food was good. I got catfish sample plate with collar greens and yams. I even had black cherry kool aid. The staff was so nice and good hospitality. Im a truck driver its had finding good home cooked food. I will be back. Thank you
