This is one restaurant that I have only been to once since I've moved to Harrisburg. So we decided to try this one after reading the reviews. This is a family owned restaurant since 1980 and everything is made from scratch. One of the first things I felt when we received the menu was how expensive this restaurant is. They are known for their steaks and prime rib, which if I could do over my meal...this would have been my choice.I struggled with giving this a 4 star review because the Chicken Chesapeake I ordered was the most salty piece of dried chicken I have ever tasted.Even the lump crab meat that topped the chicken was too salty and the mornay sauce was too hot for my taste. However, the baked potato was huge and had a great taste. My partner had the 13 oz strip steak with a demi glaze, asparagus and a loaded baked potato. His steak was cooked perfectly and he said had a good taste. They served hot rolls, which were excellent.Their beer is brewed from Susquehanna Brewery and there is quite an extensive cocktail list. The atmosphere is nice and looks quaint with all the wood shelves holding candles in four of the dining rooms. We were seated in the room behind a very uniquely crafted bar.For dessert we had the peanut butter chocolate pie and the chocolate pecan pie. Great desserts. Our dinner was just under $100 not including the tip.But because I took everything into consideration, I gave a 4 star review and will try one of their steaks or prime rib next time.

Was seated at a booth facing a window and asked to move due to the sun shining in our eyes. Guy was testy. Ordered 3 burgers and fries, and one 37.00 8oz filet mignon. Terrible filet. Overcooked and the goopy stuff on the top was sugary and gross. When I reported that it was overcooked, the server said, "Thanks, I'll let the cook know." No deduction on my bill. The burgers seemed ok, and the server was nice but the food took forever in a restaurant not that busy on a Tuesday night. I'd never return. Don't waste your money.

We had friends that have told us about Dodge City and their wonderful steaks. We had the night off and decided to go on a Thursday night. Amazing food great staff have been there for over 20 years. Promptness with the food drinks. Great quality. Extremely thankful.

Had a delicious meal. I had the coconut chicken salad. It was amazing. My husband had a steak with horseradish mashed potatoes. He said it was delicious!! Definitely going back!! Our waitress was super nice!! Loved it!!

Picture doesn't do it justice. My mom, dad and I got the prime rib. My sister got rack ribs. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best prime rib we've ever eaten. The ribs were perfect as well. Also got the crab dip. Huge chunks of crab. Super awesome customer service. Very nice establishment. Beautiful atmosphere.

While the food was good, it was not what I ordered. I ordered a plain filet (nothing on it) and I asked for it to be cooked "medium". When it came to my table it had a sauce & onion things on top. It was also very rare, definitely not medium. When I questioned it I was told that's how they cook it. My waitress was nice but another put her two cents in (on two occasions) and was very rude. I will not return and cannot recommend to anyone who might want to enjoy a meal out.

The steak is delicious and we had crème brûlée for dessert. It may have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Went here every year with the horse show. Had a big group and our server Valarie was great! We all ordered steaks and she had to separate our checks and was wonderful. She keep refilling ours drinks and had a great personality! When you come in to eat here ask for Valarie! She was great and the food is always awsome!

Dodge City has a somewhat dated atmosphere that is quickly overcome by the attentiveness and experience of the waitstaff. I had a most excellent filet prepared perfectly with a huge seasoned baked potato, fried onion nest and asparagus. Great dinner rolls served with house made cinnamon butter. No negatives here, highly recommended. Call ahead reservation recommended. Outdoor dining available during warm weather. You'll love it.

Unfortunately cannot leave a review on the food for we did not get the chance to eat. We walked in and the hostess was very polite and informed us that it would be about a 30 min. Wait which we said was okay. She said we could sit at the bar and get a drink in the meantime, so we went to sit at a bar. An older gentlemen that worked there who I believed was the manager walked by us and informed us in an aggravated tone that the time would be a longer than a 45 min - hour wait, in which we replied was fine, he then aggressively said “well you cannot eat at the bar.” Which we were aware of but did not appreciate the tone he had with us, so we ended up leaving and will not be returning again. We did not feel welcomed at all.
