La vita's deserves more credit. Some of the most authentic and splendid Italian / italian fusion food in the United States. Everything from the experience, pacing, and attitude feels authentic. The restaurant is very homie and small. My only complaint is it gets hot when it's full.
My husband and I ate at La Vita's tonight for the first time. My husband had chicken piccata and I had eggplant parmigiana and both had a side of pasta. We started the meal with an amazing salad and then moved on to our delectable entrees. This was our first time there, but will become regular diners there! Thank you for your individually prepared, homemade meals!
Truly a "unique" dining experience. Let me preface this by saying I enjoyed the food. If I were to ever get food from here again, I would do takeout. Drove out to Greensburg to try out La Vita's for a date night dinner. They seemed baffled by the fact that we wanted to come inside and sit down to eat. No menus, so we just asked if they could give us a few options. The waitress told us "I'll see what she's making today." So apparently the cook decides what you get, and you don't find out what that is until you're already sat. No drinks, either, unless you're fine with water. My partner asked for a Diet Pepsi/Coke, and was told "let me see if I have any in my stash." I do give them credit there, because if that was truly their own Diet Coke they had in the back, they gave us a can.Overall, I think this is a restaurant that leans a little TOO close to "mama's kitchen" to the point where it's a detriment. Order take out from here, the food is good. But don't come here expecting an actual restaurant experience.EDIT: Since the owner (either of the restaurant or of the Google account) decided to take a shot at me, let me shoot back: I've had this account for nearly 15 years. I VERY rarely review anything, sure. I had such a weird experience at your restaurant that I felt it was worth the review.I hope you do stay til 2050! I never once said I hope you go out of business. In fact, I urged people to order from you. But clearly your attitude is part of the problem. You HAVE seen me there. I ate there. And you're right that I won't be back, so you don't have to worry about me. I was being nice, honestly. I liked the food. My girlfriend did not, but I left that part out.How's that for wordy?
We had the most amazing experience at La Vita’s. This restaurant has the most delicious, authentic Italian food with the welcoming charm of Italy. Our hosts were attentive and personal and made our amazing dinner all the more enjoyable. The endearing nature of the owners, welcoming you into their home, really … it was a special night. Enjoy a friendly chat with a neighboring table if you would like, bring your own bottles of wine, and the pictures on the walls seem to be a collection from generations. We will be back. No doubt.

We just had the most amazing meal at La Vita’s. The owners are so friendly and attentive. It was like being a guest in their home. Very intimate. I felt so at home I wanted to get up and help with the dishes. Awesome salad and bread. The calamari, chix parm and chix florentine were absolutely amazing. Don’t forget to bring your own wine. And the apple pie was delicious. We will be back, for sure. ???
Looks can be desiving, the food was excellent. Real Italian.

We had a wonderful meal at La Vita’s. The owner couldn’t have been sweeter or more accommodating.We pre ordered our meals because we had plans to attend a show at the Palace. When she brought our appetizers we realized we were in for a very special treat. We had the Italian role and sausage with pan fried potatoes. Next came a beautiful salad with house made dressing. Main courses were Chicken Florentine and Veal Scallopini. We were pleasantly surprised to see our meals came with a bowl of pasta and delicious sauce. Each of the very generous portions brought multiple “wows” at first bite and we left with containers for another meal. This was the best food we’ve eaten in a long, long time and we can’t wait to return. This is not a place that rushes your meal so allow plenty of time or order ahead.
