Tommy’s pizza is by far the best pizza in Gettysburg, Fast service, reasonably priced, and in easy walking distance of all the other shops and restaurants on Steinwehr Ave. If it’s pizza your looking for, I would highly recommend them.
My first visit to Tommy's was way back in 1988 when i was part of the 125th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg re-enactment. My most recent visit was last week (June 2022). In that span of time i have probably eaten at Tommy's over fifty times and each and every time i have been very pleased with the quality of their pizzas. There is no need for "fancy" when the food is so darn good.
Ordered pizza while on vacation on a busy Friday night. Very polite staff taking order. Said they were busy and it might take 90 minutes to get it delivered. Said it wouldn't be a problem. Got it to us in about 45 minutes. Delicious pizza!! Lots of cheese!! Loved it!!
We ordered and it was OK. Being from New York is tough on other places that serve pizza. Nothing special and might order again.
The place wasn’t very busy but still took awhile to get order. They serve draft or bottle beer here. Pizza came very hot so we had to wait awhile before eating. Paper plates served to eat pizza with. Very greasy pizza but good flavor. $23 for large (8 cuts) with pepperoni and 2 beers. They cleaned tables as they were vacated and cleaned floor as well while we were there. Wide range of customers included teens to senior citizens
Out for a walk in Gettysburg and looking for a simple meal we could take back to the Inn. Tommy's Pizza fit that bill. They were busy but the Lady at the counter took our order and told us 20mins. We waited outside, crossing the street to walk in the cemetery. Returned in 20 mins and as we walked through the door the Lady remembered us and handed our order to us. Food was good and filling.
This is a no frills restaurant. You come here for the food, specifically the pizza. We had the meat lovers pizza and it was topped with lots of meat. Delicious! We were not disappointed! We ate there and the service was friendly and attentive. No complaints only compliments. I would visit again.
Got there around 11 30 a.m. and they were busy. We have heard ? that Tommy's is a favorite while in Gettysburg. We live about an hour or so away and we took one for the road. Heated that large plain cheese up in the oven for a few and ate almost all of it. Very good pizza ?. The sauce was unique and sweet. We enjoyed it and will start a tradition of stopping while traveling past Gettysburg on Route 15.
This is hands down the best Pizza I have had, anywhere, in 20 years! I have been to them all in York/Adams area and every time I eat here I am blown away by how perfect their pizza is. Prices are a little higher (they are located in a tourist area), but not unreasonable and well worth it. I have had subs too, which are great, but that pizza is too much to resist. Please don’t change a thing!
Went to Tommy’s with the bros today. Cool spot! Turns out Tommy is Greek, not actually Italian, go figure am I right? Pizza was decent, didn’t take too long to make. Grab a fork and knife though unless you want your shirt to eat the pizza! And don’t be afraid to go half and half on the the large pizzas, it’s no trouble for them! Will say, slices were a bit uneven, but no biggie. Overall, pretty solid spot if you’re looking for decent pizza and a good time.
