Stopped in here after our first choice had too long of a wait. We were in a little bit of a hurry but even with a group of 6 we got in and out in a little under an hour without feeling like we were rushing to eat. The food came out reasonably quickly after we ordered (but not so quickly that it had to have been made in advance), and our waitress was super friendly and did a great job of making sure we got in and out.I had the salmon entrée with coleslaw and corn fritters sides. The salmon was cooked well and the seasoning was very tasty. Coleslaw was very basic (just green cabbage and dressing) but it was good. The fritters were probably also pretty standard but I don't think I've actually had corn fritters before so it was new to me, and I really liked them. Nice and fluffy inside. If I return to Gettysburg, I'd want to try again to go to one of the classic American taverns, but this is definitely a safe choice as an alternative. The food was good and the hospitality of our waitress plus the nice patio made it a great time even though it wasn't what we'd originally planned.
This place is so nice. Ample indoor/outdoor seating, as well as a huge parking lot across the street. Food was really impressive with great flavors and quality.
Good food and service during the height of the season on July 1st. Dinner for 3 of us and we were seated quickly with crowded conditions.
O'rorke's was a nice place to grab dinner after we finished the auto tour of the battle of Gettysburg. They have a good menu with a variety of options and a decent dimension of beers on tap. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was good and the portions were just about right, we all had a little leftover.
Lots of food for the price. Great service. Warm and happy atmosphere.
Friendly staff, great food. Water tasted funny but it could just be city water. Our table ordered pretzel sticks, a grilled cheese with fries, a cheeseburger with fries, and shepherds pie. All were delicious! Weeknight in mid June and there was no wait. They have patio dining, inside seating and a bar.
O'Rorke's is a delightfully friendly establishment. I have at least one meal there each and every time i visit Gettysburg (3-4 times a year). A favorite sandwich for me is a BLT wrap and a favorite meal for me is the Shepard's Pie. They have a good beer selection and their service is prompt and friendly..
Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice menu selection, we had the fish and chips, and the Bangers and mash. Fish and chips were good, not the greatest. Bangers and mash were excellent. I had never tried this dish before and I really enjoyed it. Good sausage and very tasty gravy on a bed of masked potatoes. Best part of the meal was the beer, which is my new favorite. Try the Mango Cart wheat beer of they have it!
Sign asked that you be patient that they were short staffed. We sat inside by the door to the patio and at least 4 servers passed by numerous times to service the patio patrons. Our server was excellent with both food and drinks. Lots of menu choices. Chicken Chesapeake sandwich was a hit as well as meatloaf sandwich.
Great place to eat indoors or outdoors. Had an awesome waitress. Food was great. Wide variety of choices. Definitely recommend.
