Made us wait for over an hour for our food, server apologized for the wait and admitted that they had forgotten about us, fair enough, mistakes happen. Said it wouldn't happen again, but it did, the food took ages to arrive and I'm going to be honest it was mediocre at best, especially for the price. They forgot the ham on my pizza but at that point I was hungry enough to eat it anyways. I have visited over a hundred Italian restaurants on 3 continents, and frankly this is the worst experience I have ever had, you should stop serving Italian food because you do not deserve to drag their name through the mud like this. Made us wait again when we asked for the cheque and gave an attitude to my mother when she went to pay.You give Gettysburg a bad name and are an embarrassment to Gettysburg, Italy and the United States of America.

I got the stuffed flounder and my wife got the shrimp fettuccine. The flounder was not fresh, the crab stuffing was worse than the frozen fake crab cakes sold in grocery stores and the shrimp were rubbery and bland, as was the fettuccine. The waitress was the only good thing there. She was nice and fast and attentive. The food was really bad. We live in the area and won't be going back. I hope for their sake it was just an off night.

Mamma Ventura’s was wonderful ! The food was delicious and our waitress,Emma, was a delight! Very attentive with a smile.

Tourist trap with excessively long wait and salty cafeteria style food. Spend the time and wait for other restaurants. The kitchen could barely handle a half empty restaurant, while we waited almost an hour for cafeteria food. The small salads are served with a plastic dressing container, the veal was especially chewy and the marinara is way too salty. The bread was the only highlight as well as an inexperienced staff who is trying their best.

We eat out two or three times a week and have interfaced with numerous waiters, waitresses and different varieties of foods. Mindy is one of the best waitresses that we ever had, and the food is excellent. I suggest that you ask for Mindy if you dine at Mamma Ventura.

We were a group of 8, Christina was our waitress, she was prompt, funny, and very attentive. Dinner’s were outstanding and deserts were awesome. We went back the next night! You really need to try this place!

Last night on 3/17/22 my wife and I visited Mamma Ventura's in Gettysburg. We were greeted upon entering by a new addition to the staff, Michele the Hostess. Michele could not have been more accommodating if she was the owner. We chose to sit at the bar for a drink and intended on a take-out pizza. However Mandy the bartender/server was just as delightful and gracious as had been Michele so after we started our drinks we decided to stay for the company of this delightful staff and the inside beauty of the restaurant. We were never disappointed. We ended up with a Caesar salad and the 14" white pizza with a few extra toppings. We could not have enjoyed our last evening in Gettysburg anymore and we will certainly visit this wonderful restaurant again. Hats off to the owners for providing this wonderful experience.

First I'll say that the service is great, I believe my server was Mandy, she's awesome and was very nice. The food was not that great though, the salad had wilted old lettuce and the rest of our food was fairly bland and uninspiring. The quality of the food was just not good.

We lucked on to Mamma's for lunch on a Tuesday when it seemed like most of the other restaurants were closed. Mandy was the only server and hostess doing a double shift. She was extremely pleasant, offered good advice, and managed to serve a lot of customers while maintaining a smile. The food selection was diverse. The Panini sandwich w/fries that we had was very tasty. We would return here and sample more of the menu in the future.

This restaurant was fantastic! We went closer to 5pm before the dinner rush so it was practically just me and my partner in there! Our waitress was phenomenal and helped answer all our questions about the menu and even offered to customize each dish to our liking. Delicious food and the perfect carbo-load for our half marathon the next day! My boyfriend is Italian and he only had great things to say about this place! It's relatively pricey, but completely worth it in my opinion!
