Good food, good prices, clean restaurant, didn't have too long of a wait.
Good food and great atmosphere all around nice diner!!
If you’re looking for a good meal at a reasonable price, this is the place. No frills, no fuss, just simple diner food that’s exactly what it should be.
The burger and Lincoln special which is philly cheesesteak were good. The fried wasnt crunchy and the mash potatoes was bland. The porkchop was a disappointment. It was small and dry for $15. My husband was disappointed. My son got the kids cheeseburger and it was the size of the regular order. Price is not bad almost like a fastfood. We came around 2pm not many people but the waitress was slow doing other things instead of taking care of us.
Memorial Day weekend 2022 the downtown restaurants were thankfully crowded with tourists. This diner was just a little ways off of town square, and i caught an open spot. Staff friendly, food very fresh, and me prices were just about the cost of 2 gallons of gas, so quite reasonable
If you like local small town (old timey) diners, you'll enjoy this place! We went on a Saturday morning around 9:00 and had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table for 2. Super crowded, with a great spirit. Wait staff was awesome. Our waitress was really friendly, even though her section was slammed. Great decaf coffee, pancakes, bacon, and over easy eggs just the way we like them. We'll be back!
Stopped in for breakfast. The serversxwhere friendly and polite, food came out quickly and was as expected. Only issue was de-caffe was cold.
The extensive menu takes a while to make up one’s mind, but once made, our early dinner was fantastic. My wife got fried clams and veggies. I got ham loaf. Now when you first come, don’t look in the dessert display. You’ll skip your meal and right for the desserts.
Maybe we expect too much. You know, like refilling the coffee when it's empty instead of the server finishing her snack and nodding to us? Maybe delivering the check when it's requested versus standing at the counter chatting with a co-worker - after acknowledging our request? One server was cleaning all the booths, tables, our server was quite a talker and the other server just kept going. Charged .75 for hot water with lemon - for one slice of lemon. I ordered one pancake - it was maybe 8" total and very thin. I truly regret not taking a photo of it. It was like a child's serving size. They do not have waffles, the oatmeal is instant. Upcharge is $1.40 for two slices of sourdough toast. They can do this due to a great location, although parking lot is tiny and most customers park on the metered street. We've had negative experiences here before, but our favorite "Gettysburg Family Restaurant" was closed so we gave them another try. Truly a terrible experience. And I really mean it - we will not be back.
Great little diner in the heart of Gettysburg. Fast friendly service, good coffee, and delicious food. Pancakes were amazing. Definitely a place we will visit again.
