Hoss’s Steak and Sea House is comparable to an old, tired steakhouse chain from the 1980s. It was clean. The service staff were friendly enough, but seemed to be stretched thin although they weren’t too busy.I had the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes & gravy. In addition to adding the salad bar, I opted for a side of steamed broccoli. Overall the food was decent, no real complaints.
This is nothing like other Hoss's we've eaten at. Soups are much more watered down than other places. Lettuce on the salad bar was brown and limp. Mac and cheese like soup. Food came out cold. Most everything else on the salad bar was, OK, but not exceptional. Staff was very friendly. $50 with tip for a cold piece of salmon, a half cooked baked potato and 2 salad bars.
Haven't been in a host's in three ir four years. Should have skipped it this time. The service was decent in spite of being very shorthanded, but that's thd best I can say about it. Half the buffet items were cold. I asked for my burger well done... it came too pink and barely warm. They were too busy and we were too tired after driving in so I didn't bother sending it back. My husband's chopped steak was dry and overcooked but cold. We both got fries... barely warm. I don't need to go back to any hoss's ever again.
Spent 45 minutes to an hour waiting in an appitzer and only got 2 in sweeten tea. Ended up at Wendy’s drive through. First and last time going there
I had a great lunch here. The salad bar was full and fresh, the soups were delicious and the the nacho bar was great. The only thing I have bad to say, but not deducting a star, was that the bread was not as good as it used to be. The dessert bar was fantastic. The peanut butter sauce and ice cream always does the trick and meant butter pie made it even better.
The food was great, nice home town feeling great prices, will visit again if possible
The food needs a lot more love than what it got. The salad bar was decent, the soups looked sad, the dessert bar was good. The steak. Yikes. I had to put salt on it for flavor. It was cooked just how I like it, and the other stuff was alright. But it didn’t have any seasoning. It was a struggle. The staff was very friendly though.
Server was nice and attentive. Assured us our steaks were going to be done as ordered, and they were. Bathrooms were clean. Only issue was the soups I had weren't hot. They were barely warm. Server did heat my portion up when I asked.
Three stars because the staff was very nice. I do enjoy Hoss's. This one in particular needs a little more cleanliness of the decor and the soup, salad and dessert bar needs help.
Really, a very good place to eat. Awesome salad and dessert bar. Very good food with generous portions
