Exactly what I expect from an ice cream parlor. Almost never long lines, they move through customers quickly.The biggest takeaway is out of the amount of times that my family and I have eaten here, once a week. I don't believe any of us have gotten listeria. You'll know it if you have it.?
This place has so many choices. This one and the second one seem like fixtures in this town. We went to both and both are good. Parking is a little weird at this location but it works ok.
They have the best chocolate/vanilla twist soft serve ice cream. There sizes are generous and prices fair. They also sell food such as hot dogs, fries, mozzarella cheese sticks, steak subs, etc. They accept debit/credit card but you need to spend atleast $10. They have a few benches to sit & eat your ice cream. My family's favorite place to get icecream!
This place is freaking awesome!! They have delicious footlong hotdogs that are amazing!!! This place reminds me of my childhood. I am so happy we came upon this place in our travels. I recommend this place to everyone. The ice cream is delicious also!!
Visited and customer received a shake at was bad tasting and no fruit. The owner said "what do you want me to do" and did replace it or give money back. Boycott
Fabulous soft serve ice cream. It's an old school type of ice cream take out. My mom prefers hard ice cream as it has more flavor, but she liked this soft serve and it did have a great flavor that doesn't get lost in the toppings. There's a few benches to sit on. It's on a busy corner across from the Erie Cemetary, about 3-4 miles down from the mall. Worth the trip.
Got my old classic, a small vanilla cherry dip, and got my husband an Orange Surprise along with some funnel fries. As always the ice cream is delightful and the orange surprise was surprising! We didn't expect strawberry to be in there too but it a very nice surprise. As for the funnel fries it's akin to a funnel cake but it's fry lengths instead (be careful though, they will absolutely load the bag with powdered sugar)
Honestly the prices have went down this season which is awsome. And the quality has gotten better. They are definitely better then Dennys. Especially since they got new ownership But anyways ya whippydips that new Spot tho frfr trust me! ?--- Vision
Best soft serve ice cream location in the entirety of Erie County. I have been coming here since I was a kid, one of my earliest memories was walking here with my mom on a summer day, holding her hand as we walked past the cemetery and into sight came that beautiful twist cone on the top of the building. I loved this place as a kid, and i cant wait to go here this summer with my kiddo. It's always been great icecream and great service from this location.I cannot recommend this place enough. It is worth the drive to either of their locations--the Whippy Dip or Whippy Dip 2.
A classic Erie institution! I seriously can't remember my first visit. It's like time passes, and Whippy Dip stays the same. There is so much nostalgia about this place. You can still get a malt! The pricing has remained fair, and we all know how prices have been going. Its not the largest parking lot on earth, but the service is fast, the product is great, and the price is right.
