Very mediocre. I ordered the lobster salad which was tasteless and served over a chunk of iceberg with bottled ranch. I sent it back and ordered crab cakes. I was not impressed. Not worth the 30$
The crab soup was very mediocre. Needed a lot of pepper to make it palatable.
One of our favorite Erie haunts. They have the best coconut shrimp. I wish they gave you dipping sauce instead of decorating under the shrimp. Hubby loved the pecan Chicken. He didn't want broccoli, so they loaded him up with double fries. The Cole slaw is ok. The side Salad is a big iceberg wedge. Drink was perfect (Malibu Bay Breeze). Really good waitress. It was a busy, early supper. Everything came out in good time, hot & delicious. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but we got lucky. Unfortunately, no outside seating.
Recently had the opportunity to have dinner, with an out of town guest. I chose Smugglers from prior, positive experiences. This was no exception. We had excellent service, along with being served large portions, that were perfectly prepared. The quality of the food, itself was exceptional. I personally had swordfish, and it was amazing. My friend from California can't wait to return here, just to try something different at Smugglers. Highly recommended
I had family visiting from out of town and we decided against another restaurant, because of some issues. We decided to see if Smuggler’s could accommodate our party of 12 adults and 3 kids, 2 of which are toddlers. Within 3 minutes, they showed us to a table all set for us, including having 2 high chairs. Our waitress, Kristen was wonderful! She took orders for drinks, which were delivered promptly. She took our food orders and assured us she could split the bill among the few families. Before she even brought meals, one of the toddlers became ill and her parents needed to leave fairly quickly and Kristen got their bill together and got their meals packaged to go. None of this phased Kristen, she refilled drinks and brought our meals soon after. Our lunches were delicious. The she-crab gumbo was so good! Everyone enjoyed their meals. It turned out to be a very pleasant lunch with great food and even better service!
Probably the most disappointing reasturant experience I've ever had, mostly because of the reviews I have read I was expecting seafood bliss. Instead I got very a poor quality meal. Guessing by the clientele it stays open from the steady stream of folks who went there in their heyday and can't taste anymore... I've given may reasturants 2 or 3 chances but doubt I'll chance the Warf again.
The last time we were there before the pandemics, the service and food was horrible. This has always been one of our favorite establishments. This time, our old place was back... Great good, excellent service.. Woohoo
The waitress was amazing! Let's us sit and talk for quite some time and made us feel welcome. The food was great!! Try the NE clam chowder!!! Even in the winter the view was awesome as well!!
My husband and I decided to eat here since it was close to our hotel we were staying at while visiting the area. We were seated promptly, but it did take some time for our server to greet us. However, they were very busy with the dinner rush, so that didn't make or break anything. Our server was very friendly and accomodating. Our drinks from the bar were made perfectly, so we ended up with a few. My husband had the prime rib and I had the perch - both meals were delicious. Our server did forget the coconut shrimp appetizer, but she gladly got it for us after we reminded her. I'm a (part-time) server too, so we were very understanding at how easy it can be to forget something.Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back! The *only* downside I will point out, is that the structure that covers the outside deck is very rotted and quite a liability issue. I understand the pricing for materials is astronomical right now, but it not safe - especially if the deck is being used in the summer.
The restaurant is a cheerful, bustling place, and our server was a very hard worker. However, the food was lackluster. My broiled scallops ($27) were not broiled, but poached in excessive liquid, flavored with way too much minced garlic, and nothing else. They tasted like they were on their last legs — still edible, but not fresh. The tomatoes in the salad (you got 2 sides with the entrée, but salad was an extra $5), were also just barely edible. My other side, broccoli, was stuffed in a tiny cup, overcooked, and with no seasoning. Finally, the credit card info of one of my friends was stolen.
