Were stopped by tonight for dinner and we really made a great choice. The restaurant was busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The service, meals and atmosphere in this place is what makes it so special. We each ordered dinners and our food was out in no time - and they were hot and delicious. I had the country fried steak w/ pasta and my wife had the tilapia w/ pasta and man, they were very good. Washed down with some excellent Koehler beer to boot. Mandy was our server and I can't tell you how many times she came by to make sure we were happy and we certainly were. She took excellent care of us. The only down note was that we learned that Robin has the place up for sale and that 's not good news for Erie or Millcreek. I can't imagine anyone doing it nearly as well as she has and how she has dedicated so very much in support of our troops. It's a sad day for this area when someone like her has decided to put the business up for sale.
Always amazing!! Even shorthanded tonight they handled it like champs!!
This place has it all! Great service, great food, wonderful atmosphere. I've frequented this establishment for over 8 years now. One thing about The Pittsburgh Inn that always makes me feel at home, is the way the staff talks to my 4 year old son. Also, the consistency. The food is always fresh, and made with the same ingredients/love as your last visit. In my opinion, they run the best local restaurant in Erie.

No wait for seating. Friendly staff. Excellent food. A well established restaurant and bar and after you visit, you will understand why it has remained in business for so long
I am not a person who makes a habit of complaining, especially about restaurants and the service industry. I have worked retail and customer service for most of my life and I understand how things work “on the other side”. However, this is infuriating enough that I feel like the owners of this establishment need to hear about it so that they can do better in the future. My husband and I stopped here for dinner on December 10, 2021. I have had multiple excellent experiences in the past, and was eager to share this place with him because he’s not from Erie and loves a good “mom & pop” place.Unfortunately, and surprisingly, the service was extraordinarily slow AND our meals were terrible. I can forgive one or the other, and attribute it to lack of staff or simply an off night. But, no - there were tons of staff milling about the place, seemingly only one person doing the legwork, and that person was not our server. Our initial server refilled our drinks once (incorrectly, I might add), we had the food delivered to our table by another person, and yet another person gave us the bill. When she asked how the food was, we were honest. Husband’s chicken was dry, overcooked, and the portion size (as well as his sides) were tiny! My steak sandwich had more bread than ingredients (very skimpy), and the jus tasted like someone had made a broth earlier in the week and just kept adding water to it. Zero flavor. I choked half of it down simply because I was starving. The sweet potato fries were amazing though - it’s hard to mess up simple fried food, so I was thankful for that! The server offered her condolences about our lackluster dinners and was about to leave the table, then thought better of it and offered to give us something else. At that point, we had already been there for an hour and a half just waiting on our food (absolutely not an exaggeration) and I just wanted to go - but hubs took advantage and ordered an elk burger to go. After another 20 minutes, the burger arrived, and we were able to pay the bill and escape.About that bill…instead of comping his dry chicken and the elk burger, the server deleted the chicken and charged him for the burger. That was not what was discussed at the table, but as I said again - at that point, we just wanted to leave.(Husband later said the burger was also dry and tasteless, and ended up tossing it. Whatever)We later shrugged it off and laughed about it, joking that maybe it was an off night or there were some back of the house issues, or something. We’re in the middle of a panny, after all, and staff is short everywhere. We moved on with our lives and forgot about it.So what compelled me to remember that bad experience and leave my little rant here now, almost a month later?Tonight, I was reviewing my bank account and noticed that the Pittsburgh Inn charged me JUST TODAY for that visit from December 10. What??! Who does that?? Are you telling me you didn’t reconcile your receipts from that day until JUST now?? How do you get away with that? What kind of accounting does this place do?! It’s completely unacceptable, bad business practice and simply shady as hell.I will never return, I will be sharing this experience with others, and I hope your establishment does better in the future for your guests. Such a shame that a formerly wonderful local business has gone off the rails like this.

Very good food at reasonable prices not the fanciest place but nice
Good home cooked food relaxing atmosphere great staff ..Entrance area honors veterans of all branches of service with tons of photos of them. And the inside is definitely Pittsburgh nation. Stop by you will not be disappointed
Good food reasonably priced. Food was clean in taste even when it was fried! Service was good too!
