The service was excellent but the food was not cooked to order. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork burger. The description sounded delicious but it was not cooked to order and had no taste. Another person in my party ordered the same thing and asked to be cooked medium rare and I asked to be cooked medium well and both sandwiches were cooked well done.
Love this restaurant! ( Erie , PA) Always a great dining experience here! Great burgers…. Salads… and the BEST Tortilla Soup EVER.. The Banana Cream pie is insanely good!
Food was excellent, waitress was good. The reason for the 3 stars is the restroom...it was nasty, 3 stalls. ..1 with urine all over the floor and toilet, 1 with feces on the toilet and 1 with no toilet paper! Everything in the bathroom had a very thick layer of dust on it and the doors and floor need major repair! One stall has the lock being held on with duct tape!
I ordered a tortilla burger from this location. When I placed the order, I specifically put NO LETTUCE TOMATO ONION OR JALAPEÑOS. JUST CHEESE AND TORTILLA STRIPS. When I got my order, there was everything I specifically asked not to be on my burger on it. Calling the restaurant was a waste of time and I should’ve just ordered from somewhere else because they said “well you can come get the burger yourself”. Mind you, i ordered delivery because I tested positive for covid and CANNOT leave my house. So I’m inconveniencing a loved one to drive to the restaurant so they can get the correct burger that should’ve been made the first time AND show them the burger they wrongfully made. This isn’t the first time that this has happened to me and it’s getting to the point where you are about to lose a “valued” guest. Clearly that doesn’t seem to matter. DO BETTER ERIE LOCATION. you lost my money, that’s for sure
My family visited Max & Erma's for the first time and we were quite impressed. The portion sizes are large, prices are very reasonable, and the food was delicious! The entire staff seemed energetic and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Our server was Joshua, he was excellent! We had a party of nine, our food came out all at the same time, everything was correct, and the food was great.He was very attentive, got refills of drinks before we could even ask!...checked on us if we needed anything else. Max & Erma's have a great employee. ?
Overall a good experience this evening (Feb 25). Julia was an excellent server. The meal took a long time getting to us. Maybe that’s why the food was lukewarm when we finally got to eat. Tasted fine but cold halfway thru the meal. Do you have the means to keep the plates hot before they are served? One last comment: meals that are not served hot might be the factor in not coming back very soon, so I think it's important that this be corrected soon.
What a great place. Servers are always helpful, seem to be happy. The people that welcome you in and seat you are very courteous, and the food is wonderful and delicious. Their tortilla soup, outstanding. If u are in Erie, and hungry, GO THERE
I had the Pub Boss Burger and it was fantastic. Fries we ok. Service was quick. Our waitress was kind and very attentive.
Very nice it has a similar vibe to an Applebee's but has a more local vibe catering to Erie. The food was good and there were no real issues at all.
